Buy either one because either one will end up in the bottom of your camera bag. The only thing I have had success with using an extender is "Moon" shots. - Dave

My wife's grand father settled on an Island 12 Mi east of Kearney. Named Clark Island after him. An story in the 1897 Gibbon Reporter tells of "Mr. Clark of the Island" shooting a Pelican and it could be seen in the Drug Store Window In Gibbon. Gibbon is 12 miles West of Kearney and two miles north of the Platte River. So you may get to see more than the Sandhill Cranes. - Dave

Why do some folks want to force their idea of a Prayer on every one else? Who buys the beads or the rugs that some need to pray? Who says what kind of prayer is going to be used? I prayed my own prayer to myself to God in school and have taught my children to do the same. Is the man that tells how you can touch women in private places if you have power going to lead the prayer? - Dave

The raw+jpg is a handy way to compare your editing efforts to those of the camera. Best wishes on your journey!

Or - You may want to do camera settings in JPEG and see if you do a lot better in RAW. Some folks like to do it in the camera and forget about playing at the computer. Just my not so humble opinion. Dave

I've never realized that this would come up. Depending on the camera brand, this could happen. Some cameras use a small laser to delete the files. This burns a small hole right through the memory card. One can see this because the laser actually illuminates a small clear plastic window. One needs to examine the card with an electron microscope to see this small hole. Eventually, if done often enough, the card resembles swiss cheese. This is not the system used by a lot of cameras, but some. The best way to tell is to erase a file and then immediately open the access door to the card and give it a sniff. If you smell something burning, that's the little bit of smoke generated by the process.

All my Children felt School was a waste of time after the 6th grade. The only exceptions were Spanish An Music. There fiddles paid their way to college. If we had it to do over all would have been home schooled. - Dave

Thanks for the fun review. I like to buy cheap or super cheap lenses on eBay too. For just a few $ you can get Gas out of your system. Once in awhile you find a real Gem. - Dave

When I was young and we had 6 children and not a lot of money for photography. I bought a Spiratone 400 f/6.3 lens. It was fun but to hard to focus on anything moving. But it did do well with the moon. another is the 500mm mirror lenses. Both are t mount lenses so you can use them on almost any SLR/DSLR camera. See both on eBay all the time for less than $50. Use tripod - focus carefully - remember you are shooting in full Sun so expose like you are. - Picture taken with the cheap Spiratone 400 - Dave

If you didn't have the other stuff in the picture it wouldn't be in focus. If you would have took two steps forward and ent down to take the picture not only would it be in focus but show therm better. I BBF for you. I tried it and didn't like in. Found the old pushing the shutter half way down and holding it better for me. Just my not so humble opinion. - Dave

It might be wise to see what you can do with what you have. I f you find you can't do what you want you may want to add a lens. Just my not so humble opinion. - Dave
