Hi,

I use my Canon S5IS for eBay photos and always use the automatic setting. The S5IS doesn't seem to take as clear and crisp pictures when compared to less expensive cameras from 6.1 pixel Canon cameras I have used in the past. Since item photos are my interest is there a simple setting other than automatic that will improve the quality of my photos?

I purchased a Sunpak RD2000N Camera Flash 2 weeks ago and the flash is so powerful I have to use the flash all the way up vertical and it is still too bright in 95% of my photos. I know nothing about photography and all the complicated options the camera offers. Could the S5IS have an internal problem.

Thanks,
Pat

I'm desperately in need of a photographic rescue!!

I am paying for a studio membership on ArtFire.com so I can sell my jewelry, but even though I have the use of a Samsung S85 digital camera (8.2 megapixels, 5x optical zoom, face Recognition AF & AE) (whatever that means!) I have been unable to find one good setting combination to use for photographing my jewelry for posting online. I am not a photographer, I am confused by even the trial-and-error attempts I have made. I haven't found a way to "save" settings that have been somewhat successful, and I've tried so many things now that I am completely lost. I've been trying to use a large white styrofoam cooler as a lightbox, but I'm willing to build a simple lightbox as seen online. Any suggestions for my dilemma would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

I have a Nikon D3100 with a Canon 32MB card but can only take 25 pictures with the size set on small. What am I doing wrong or do I need a different card? I am new to the digital SLR world.
Thank You,
Steph

Hi,

I recently lost the use of my right hand. I can no longer hold the camera or push the fire button. Any suggestions on photographing with my left hand only?

Hi,

I have a Canon S3 IS camera, and am hoping to purchase an SLR by the end of the year.

I am thinking about a Nikon D5100 or a Canon Rebel T3i. I have a swivel LCD screen on my current camera, and I don't want to give that up. I am at a complete loss as to lens(es) I should get. I am planning to purchase my camera at a local Best Buy store. They have 'packages' with one or two lenses included.

One example is the Nikon including an 18-55mm VR lens and an extra 18-200mm VRII zoom lens. This will be my first SLR camera, so I can use all the hints I can get. Thank you!

Hi,

I am so excited to find this fourm. Everyone is so nice here. I am wanting to know any advice on photographing rooms. I am seeing a need for a book with many pictures of what ever it is people want to know about and having how they took the pictues.Like what lens and what setting was used. I would love to see books for myself on maybe cottage houses or farm houses or bed and breakfasts. Bed and breakfasts are my passion. I want to get my new camera so I can take pictures of my bed and breakfast and then my friends bed and breakfast. If anyone has any advice on photographing rooms I would love to hear it.

Hi,

I was needing some help with my camera, I for about 4 years now have been using a canon xti, and have loved it, but about a month ago, it quit taking pictures, I got it cleaned, reset the camera like canon told me too, but it will only take a picture once in awhile, , I use different lenses, and nothing works, the camera will turn on, the flash will work when it does take pictures, but very slow at taking them, and it is like the buttton that you push to take the picture isn't connecting or something, not sure, any ideas, do you think it can be fixed or should I just buy a new camera?

Thanks. Heather.

Hi,

Just one question for now with many more to come I am sure!
How do you get colors to pop? Does this come from the ISO or aperature?

Thanks.
Dranny.

I'm new to the forum. Spent a week golfing in Scotland & have some 600 pics I want to put in a slide show w/music w/perhaps
Windows Movie Maker. My cameras are 30d & 7d w/ file sizes from 3>6 megs. My question is what size (Pixel's? / megabytes?) can these be reduced to show clearly on a big screen TV?
In a dry run w/a few photos it played nice but when I clicked the icon to full screen on the computer they became blurry.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
P.S. - Really enjoy the forum!!
