Vintage when referring to wine means that only one variety of grape was used and all from the same growing season. I recall that much from my active culinary days.

Not a b00mer nor a mIlLeNnIaL but what the heck;

Let me state up front I've never had an iPhone of any type though I did try to assist my dad with his when my younger sister bought him one. Nor have I ever had an Android and likely never will. Nobody I know that has a 'Droid has the same OS so no one knows how to help anyone else figure anything out. As to Samsung I wouldn't own - or use - one if you paid me. Not again. I had a couple (last one was a Samsung Focus [Windows Phone 7] until one day I tried to reload a short video clip I made so I could show my homebrewing partner and the phone refused to allow it. Told me it would violate the DMCA rights of the copyright holder. But that's me, I FUGGIN' MADE the video! I moved on to HTC Titan II (Windows Phone 7.1) and was meh about it. It took decent enough pictures but ...

As the HTC started getting long in the tooth and had taken more punishment than any device deserves (except, imho, Samsung; ymmv) I did a bit of research beforehand knowing my device still worked but needed to head upstate to a nice farm to live out its remaining days asap. I was taken by the Lumia 1020 immediately (41-megapixel 1/1.5-inch backside-illuminated sensor; F2.2 lens; 25mm equivalent focal length in 16:9, 27mm in 4:3; 2.7x downsampling digital zoom; Optical image stabilization; Manual shutter speed, focus, and ISO control; Xenon flash; 1080p 30fps video recording; Panorama mode; Nokia Smart Camera mode; Nokia Pro Cam mode; https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nokia-lumia-1020-camera-review). As it was a work phone (I was an occupational safety and health officer for my union and worked in a foundry with very dark and bright areas) I did my due diligence and investigated other phones, Lumia's quality ratings, ... before contacting my carrier to upgrade to a new phone. Unfortunately by then they no longer offered the 1020. They had replaced it with the 1520 as the new flagship Windows Phone (https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nokia-lumia-1520-camera-review). Once I got a hold of the specs (20MP 1/2.5-inch BSI CMOS sensor; six-element Carl Zeiss lens; f/2.4 lens with 6 elements; 26mm equivalent focal length; ISO 100-4000; Optical Image Stabilization; 2x "lossless zoom"; dual LED flash) I was on the phone to request it. One thing the 1520 offered that the 1020 didn't was expandable storage. The phone came with either 16MB or 32MB built in storage and would accept up to 64MB microSD card (unofficially 128MB microSD).

While I no longer have that phone (screen cracked and I sent it in to have insurance fix it but they sent a Microsoft 950 [Win10 Mobile] to replace it as they had no 1520s) I do still have a 1520. It can capture excellent low light shots. It can also be operated in manual mode. It has awesome video capabilities too. Last time I replaced the 1520 I could no longer get into the M$ store to reload my apps and had to "upgrade" from WinPhone 8.1 to Win10 Mobile. 8^p What a way to ruin a device. Thankfully it operates better on the 1520 than it did on the 950 (gets REALLY HOT, random reboots, random shut downs while still plenty of charge, ...). And it did add a couple items that I needed 3rd party apps for previously like 360* Panorama. I have choice of aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9), framing grids; image "size" (jpeg[5MP], jpeg [16MP], jpeg[5MP] +dng [16MP]; time lapse; and a slew of video settings (1280x720p/25fps; 1280x720p/30fps; 1920x1080p/24fps; 1920x1080p/25fps 1920x1080p/30fps; 3840x2160p/24fps; 3840x2160p/25fps; 3840x2160p/30fps) including slow motion! It also records in Dolby Digital Surround (5 microphones in the body iirc). I'm still not wild about Win 10 Mobile and apparently neither is M$ as they've decided to stop supporting it. The camera in this phone is still rated top notch and I'd pit against ANY iProne or 'Roid phone camera out there.

I'm no longer working in the foundry but I am still an OHS specialist. As much as I enjoy my T4i it's not going into a foundry, machine shop or construction site. The 1520 fits in my pocket, gets great shots/video for use in incident investigations and/or training programs. Since I'll have a cell phone until the day I retire it may as well be the best one I can find and afford.

I hope this helps, I'll up a couple pictures when I get a chance (phone is charging atm).

My lenses are all 58mm or 72mm. I need to invest in a good macro lens or two. I hope to do so in the near future.

First seeing this now as I hadn't ventured into Wanted/Sell/Trade previously.

$100 is a fantastic price (as was the original offer). Unfortunately from what little info I've been able to find it doesn't look like it's compatible with the few lens currently in my gear box.

Hmmm, my Win10 Pro was unable to recognize my CR2 files. Until I installed UFRAW.

But using Canon's DPP, which came with my cameras, works fine though you do have to want to learn how it works (I still mostly use it to view files and convert to TIF format and edit those in GIMP). It even recalls where I was working last and will open to that folder (if it's present ie. not on a removable memory card which is not plugged in or has a different drive designation [drive F: last time but drive H: this time]).

I knew you were and I was ribbing you back.

At 6'2" I wasn't really sold on the Civic at first. Found out I could fit in it quite well and I didn't mind 45mpg in the city and 54mpg+ on the freeway. Only real downer was the seat angle which angled up and after driving for extended periods gave me horrible pains.

Anywho I have no lack of $$$ hungry hobbies and photography is right up near the top of the list. But I don't think I'm gonna be investing in a mirrorless anytime soon. I remember my grandfather's TLR cameras well as his large format cameras, and the awe they held for me as a child, as well as my Brownies and instamatics but I don't know if I could take a picture without the feel of the sliding mirror and the thunk of it fully out of the way or landing back down.

Now, you see, Bitt?

It's called EVOLUTION … 135 or so - YEARS of it. Now, we have - electric cars which go 40mph, Hybrid cars - which go twice that speed - and on batteries, once they get going with gas;

There were electric cars capable of 65mph+ in the 1800s and in fact held the land speed record until the petrol based vehicles were able to get their feet under them. And I'm well versed in modern hybrid cars as I recently got rid of my 2006 Honda Civic hybrid as I couldn't afford the replacement of the hybrid battery and the dealer really didn't want to do it.

As a long time homebrewer that specializes in ales (Belgian, British & American styles) I don't need no steenkin' fridge anywhere near my beverages tyvm. When I need to check my stocks I check the carboys and lagering closet.

Welcome Tiffany.

When I got serious about getting back into photography a few years back the Canon Rebel T4i is what I stepped up to from my Sony Cybershot H20 (which I still use in inclement weather since it's water resistant to 90'). I love it.
I don't think I've used any of the auto setting except macro once or twice. It was exceptionally easy to learn to use. I got it (body only) from a local camera shop for ~$300 (it was on sale 10-15% off regular price) but by the time I added ProMaster RF remote & strap it was just under or over $300. The fact that when I have some spare pocket change I can get professional lens that fit and work well with it.

Last year I picked up a Rebel T6 as a secondary body so I can have more than one lens mounted and ready to go. I have recently been forcing myself to use it more as it felt like a step backwards having gotten used to the articulating touch screen on the T4i. Had I gone back to the camera store for some hands on time I'd definitely have spent the extra $80 to get the T6i instead.

Both cameras are easy to use and capture great images. I highly recommend the Canon Rebel line.

There were cars in the 1800s. They were steam driven not gas but they existed. There were even electric cars (more than internal combustion engine powered) for a while.

There was also a/c, you just had to chop the ice and store it yourself of have enough $$ to afford to by some.

As to personal entertainment they seemed to find plenty of activities to while away the hours with only a few that might eventually lead to needing a physician visit. 😉
