The GSMNP is the only National Park that doesn't charge an entrance fee. Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Glacier all charge 35$/car or 20$ person, White Sands National Park charges 25$/car or 15$ person. Yosemite charges 35$/car and up. With that in mind I don't consider a 5$ a day parking fee to be so outrageous. These parks are not free they have to be maintained so why shouldn't we have to pay for the right to visit them?

I have used a Pelican since 1985 for my underwater Nikon gear. It has been on numerous trips to some very desolate locations. I've seen my case thrown around and dropped and it is still in almost like new condition on the outside and looks like new on the inside. All the camera equipment that it has carried has never been damage in any way. The foam inside is also still in like new condition. I highly recommend this brand of camera case if you expect things to get banged around. It can take beating and still protect the contents.

Use Mac PAGES. It coms with your system and has templates that can easily be customized to fit your specific need. You can add images into the template as well. Create your first card and then copy the format to fill out the page. It's very easy. I have been using it for many years to create custom cards for my wife and friends.

I have used "YouTube to MP3" BY Mediahuman for years. Works great; it will even download complete play lists into individual MP3s and best of all it's FREE. Have fun.

O.K. You sound like you know what's best.

And I suppose you didn't sound "holier than thou" with your comment?

Better than going to Planned Parenthood (abortions), or The Kennedy Center or even PBS!

My wife and I are both on SS and we got our stimulus direct deposited last week. It was definitely a separate payment from our SS payments.

It's a simple solution. If you don't have to work, give your son your car and you stay home. Or, perhaps your son's insurance company will rent him a car until he's able to buy one.

If the Coronavirus can live on surfaces for days even weeks; just how safe is the USPS, UPS, FEDX or even Amazon. How feasible is it to vote by mail. They can't guarantee that a carrier or infected individual hasn't passed it on simply by handling it. How safe are you handling mail and packages? Has anyone heard anyone discussing this possability?

When we were there, we were located just across the street south of the launch field in the temporary RV area. The wind was blowing from the north to the south at launch level so they flew just a few feet above us as they ascended. As they gained altitude the wind shifted back to the north. This gave us a great low level view (5+ feet above the RV) plus a high level view as they went back past the launch field to the north. I used a 100-400mm and got some great shots. It sometimes felt like I was in the basket with them. We were told that this low altitude "north to south" then high altitude "south to north" circular wind pattern was caused by the mountains to the east of the launch field.

Bt the way, there are two launches each morning, one consisting of around 750 balloons just as dawn is breaking and another 750 or so about an hour or so later after the first flight has cleared the field. I have been to a number of balloon festivals but Santa Fe is by far the biggest and the best. Go down on the field and film them as they launch. It costs a little more to be able to do it, but it's well worth it.

In the evening go to the "Glowdeo", on the launch field, where they tether the balloons down and fire their burners to make them glow in the evening light into the dark. I used a 16mm, 400ISO, aperture preferred, on a tripod with an electronic trigger to be able to get the whole balloon even though I was just feet away.

You can also go up on the tramway east on the mountain and get some great shots of the mass liftoff if you have a long lens (400mm+). Have fun.

I heard that Walmart was infested with "bed bugs". Might want to pick up some pesticide while you're there.
