If one subscribes to both the gallery and birds, one will see all the new posts in each group in newest topics in one's feed.
I don't understand the need to go to "two different folders".

The main folder + the sub folder = 2 folders.

Thanks for creating a sub group just for birds. That will make it easier for the bird watcher/photogs, and better for those of us who prefer to look at other kinds of photographic work. Yea!

I see the solution as half empty. While primarily viewing bird photographs, I would also view others when the title attracted my attention. Now I may have to review two different folders. Were the non-bird photographers complaining about our mere bird photographs in “their” gallery?

My 10 year old MacBook Pro is now struggling to keep up with the Adobe Creative Cloud and some other software. I am considering getting a Mac Mini with the M1 chip. I have researched previous discussions about the Mini, but most are about a year old, so I am curious to get more recent thoughts. Previous discussions are positive about the Mini with the Apple chip. Is that still true?

What about memory and storage? From what I read, 8mb seems to handle Photoshop and Lightroom well, but is it worth paying the extra $200 to get 16, since it is hard to upgrade. Then there is always the storage decision. I'm inclined to go for at least 512, but that will be budget driven. The mini appears to be the best value in the Apple line. Any helpful thoughts from UHH members are appreciated.

One last question - better to buy from Apple or some other source such as B&H or even Amazon?

No less than 16 and 1 Tb. Go higher if budget constraints allow. You won’t regret it.

I guess that makes sense since that mode is a subject detect mode. If that mode is accurate enough it might solve the OP's problem.

Of course not using BBF would also solve it.

Or of course, learning how to operate the camera, rather than to blame it for the OP’s operator error.

They made the announcement in December of 2020.

Old news that has no real effect on our photography.

Just some more trolling.

Is the Ignore List feature functioning? My intent is not to receive posts from users that carry-on about the same topic day after day.

For download via WiFi, I routinely link my iPads to a D500 and Z50 via SnapBridge. But I’m experiencing difficulties doing so with my Z6ii. All IOS and software versions are up-to-date.

Has anyone experienced this problem or successfully linked a Z6ii to SnapBridge?
Is there an additional hidden setting necessary with the Z6ii?

(Apple or SnapBridge haters, pls resist the urge to respond. TY.)

Any reasonable, relevant suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks!

As always ck your user manual, this will be addressed there.
I shoot Sony and use both as they are designed to work together. If my understanding is correct the lens compensates for x and y axis movement and the body corrects for roll, pitch and yaw.
But most of all go have fun shooting.

My understanding is that BassmanBruce’s description of the complementarity is correct. They were designed to work together.

Has Nikon Snap-bridge become better? Easier to install. Are the benefits useful?

Works well for me to wirelessly transfer photos to my iPads.

Do any of you Hoggers have experience buying a used lens from MPB.com?
How would you rate your experience with them? A friend of mine is looking for a Canon EF 400mm 4.5-5.6 prime lens he saw one advertised from them on Canon Price Watch.com

I purchased an MB-D17 from them that arrived with ‘new car smell’ and warranty card.

PS. No need to troll me with ‘but you know you can’t activate the warranty card’”

I am a little frustrated and somewhat confused. I just purchased the 16" M1 Max, with 24 GPU, 32Gb RAM and 1TB SSD. I moved over from a 2014 MacBook. I have my external drives which are USB 3.0 on a hub that can connect to the new laptop via USB-C. When I run Topaz DeNoise etc. it is running almost as slow as it was before. I've seen videos of folks on Youtube where Topaz updates almost immediately. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and I did install Rosetta.

Let’s not hate Apple or Topaz. Topaz has been very straightforward regarding the delay in development of M1-compatible software. Patience is a virtue.

PS. Let’s not trigger the Mac haters on the site. They’re vocal enough as it is, typically without cause.
