Try using your right arrow key when on that line. You also have to turn the network connection ON. If you are hitting enter, you'll get the error on my D5500
If I am working on a photo that I want left untouched on disk, I load it into elements, then SAVE AS with a different name so I don’t lose my original jpg. If my original file was called IMG512.JPG, I will save my edited file as IMG512e.JPG. If I crop that image I may SAVE AS IMG512ec.JPG, or IMG512ec1366x768.jpg (my laptop screen size). This lets me go back to the original, or any of its subsequent saves.
Here’s a YouTube video, different camera model, shows your problem (I think).
https://youtu.be/_d7j9GbaEXMPossibly dirt/dust making the clearances too close?
Another thing, sounds weird, but I bought a hot shoe plastic insert, covers the contacts on the hot shoe, and looked nice (I don’t have an external flash). I gave one to my brother, and it fit his canon perfectly, but with it in, his flash would no longer pop up, as it apparently thought an external flash was attached.
Do you have a hot shoe cover?
Are the hot shoe contacts clean?
These are total guesses on my part, but thought I would mention them prior to you mailing the camera off to Nikon
Good luck
My D5500 will not open the flash in certain shooting modes, ie HDR.
Have you tried a reset on the camera?
My Elements 15 does have letters and numbers mixed in every block. On the outside of the package there is a barcode with the words ‘SCAN TO ACTIVATE PRODUCT’. Not sure if it actually has to be scanned to actually make it work or not, but they may be serious that they want it scanned.
I am still thinking it’s the SD card. Maybe not like I originally thought (that it was slow), but you say it 3/4 full. Unlike a hard drive (mechanical), solid state drives (much like an SD card) do not just fill in bits that are available from previous deletions. That is why if you run a solid state drive you have to periodically ‘trim’ the drive to fill the holes. I am thinking if you change SD cards or save the images off your card and format it in camera your problems may go away.
In Windows 10, if you right click on the image (on your desktop for instance), then choose PROPERTIES, and the DETAILS, this should give you the information you need.

I'm surprised that LR can't do that.
I didn’t even know Elements did it (had no use for it), until this thread was started

Hi all, Shooting my D5300 with either DX lens, sometimes I experience a long pause from the time I trip the shutter until I can shoot the next shot. It is not slow shutter speed. I have tested this. So during this pause, the shutter has already completed its action. This occurs with JPEG + RAW, but not consistently so I don't think it's file size. Any ideas from you all would be appreciated.
Sounds more like a slow memory card, and the delay is the writing action. If it doesn’t do this in JPG only mode, I would guess slow memory card. On the other hand, if these are pictures you are taking with a flash, it’s posdible the camera is just waiting for the flash to recharge for the next flash.
Photoshop Elements 15 allows a SAVE AS option where PDF can be chosen as a file output type. Be aware though at high quality jpg compression a 14mb jpg file will save as a 52mb PDF file.
Not sure why it wouldn’t work with the 6s. I am using the D5500 and the iPhone 7, I also use my iPad Mini 4, both of which I have no problems, either transferring files, or actuating the shutter.
Turn on WiFi on the camera, search for that network in settings on your iPhone, choose connect to your camera network (I named my camera network ‘D5500’), then start WMU. Should work...
It has to do with s chemical emitted by the trees when exposed to sunlight. I was in Asheville NC and Garlinburg TN this last week, and was told this by a tour guide. They are blue...
While in manual mode the dial right above your thumb changes shutter speed, and holding the exposure compensation button down (to the right of the shutter release button), and turning the thumb dial changes your aperture.
I did that about a year ago, and like you am very impressed with the speed increase. My old laptop runs cooler, battery lasts longer, and programs like Quicken are instantly on, along with Windows startup is now about 5-8 seconds.
