I searched some more on here re: stitching, and went through tons of info. maybe too much info.

so Im torn between which freeware I'm going to try.

argh senior photos can be a lot of fun. BUT
here is a bad experience I had, doesnt always happen but it can when working with seniors and their friends.

Step sons love of his live, 6 girlfriends ago,
wanted me to do her senior photos.
Not a problem, handed her my price sheet, including non refundable deposit that barely covered my gas yet alone my time.

Talked to her mother who couldnt be there but had gone over price list and deposit. understood the deposit was to cover my expenses.

Girl loved all the photos, so I ask her what is your budget so I can help you to save time and money for your mother, still had not met the mom yet.

Girl picks out 10 photos, okay we'll proof them take them home (with proof written across the front) and talk to your parents and come back with order form filled out mothers signature and bring a check.

Okay big day, girl shows up with egar stepson signed and noterized contract (signed by mother) Girl orders $800.oo photos. YIKES my first instinct was to pack everything up and run as fast as I could.

I called mother verified she did sign and have noterized the contract and went over the order with the total amount and the number of prints she wanted to order..... mother agreed with everything verbally on the phone.

Print day, I got a check for 50.oo.

This was during the era of film, roll film, canisters, darkroom, dodge burn, hand colored some,

I gave her 16 wallets and shreaded the rest...........

No more seniors for me ever never ever again.

Did I make mistakes? Oh yea
Could I have handled it differently? Yep I could have sent her to corner shop to stick a dollar in and get 5 wallet prints.

Take my advice, buy a large bottle of excedrine migraine

Verichrome is much thinner base, not much room for error.

My darkroom still stands and my chemicals on the top shelf and at the end a tub thingie of wine. on the opposite wall is my little radio with grafters tape covering all the knobs and lit areas and over time duct tape has covered the grafting tape.

for the wine, I have a special cracked beaker that I stopped using for chemicals years ago. Its glass and is perfect for the final rinse and hanging..... nuff said.

Film and developing will be a special art once forgotten one day and there will be a handful left that will know what to do with it.
