We have many in our yard as well, but they are not inclined to wait around for me to get a good shot.
I went to the Wildlife Reserve to get some bird shots from the bird blind. There were a few birds, but these guys were playing and eating on the ground. I do not get many chances to shoot many of these very camera-shy guys at home. These seemed more interesting than the few birds flitting in and out. There were three playing together, but I think these two pictures are the same one.
May I suggest you go to a camera shop and look through some of their different camera viewfinders? With the diopter adjustment, I may compensate enough for you to see through the viewfinder. I have found that that works for me.
Going to Las Vegas in July. I will add it to my day-trip list. My wife will be in a conference. I will be doing day-trips. Any other suggestions on day-trips for photography from anyone?
Wow, what a great series of shots. It must be really unusual for a photographer to be in the right place and right time to catch suck a series. It amazes me the bird could have caught and maneuvered such a large fish into its mouth.
Is that a dahlia? Is it natural light or off camera flash? Beautiful shot.
Great shots of my favorite mountain. We lived in Tacoma in the late 60s and in Seattle in the late 70s.
Great shot of the trees. Really nice work adding your grand daughter. Really creative affect.
Beautiful shots. In the last one there are sticks with pink tops. They remind me of posts that precede the bulldozers coming in to clear the area for development. I hope this beautiful area is going to stay pristine.
It's great when they want their picture taken.
I was there last August. I enjoyed the drive so much, I drove it twice, taking a little different route the second time. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely go there.
Great shots. I can see why you could not resist posting the last one. A great, unique shot.
I enjoyed all of these shots of some unusual poses by the eagles. I am envious of your opportunity to witness this activity.
Really nice set. Welcome to this forum. Looking forward to seeing more of your images.
Great images. They remind me of my days at Arizona State University in the early 70s.
