I shot BIF and stills there many times while living in So. Ca. Always something unexpected appears at BC NWR. When wanting BIF, I'd find stills, or vise versa. Early mornings and late afternoons were the best times to capture bird life. Mid day usually little or no activity. But, that can always change from day to day. Best advice... Camera, long lens, fast shutter speed, manual exposure, and be there.

Excellent bird pics. Good gear counts, but It's always how well you use it more than camera brands and luring fads. PP technique helps a lot too. Your pics really deliver.
