A Swallow of water

This a Juvenile Tree Swallow. I was fortunate to run across a huge flock of swallows drinking from a small puddle. I was able to capitalize by slowly driving within forty ft. of the commotion, which lasted for over an hr. I took around four thousand pictures, of which only about 100 were usable; the hardest part was when I got home trying to figure out which ones to keep. Have a super fantastic day, Photos are taken in South Eastern Ct. with a Canon 5D M or II 7D M II and Canon 100 to 400II, THANK YOU.

Your keeper rate was 2.5% (.025).
With film, quite costly.
Digital, no problem. Free!

Beautiful capture of that BIF and worth the entire effort.

Great image. I had to google Whistletown Wilds. Always something new to learn isn't there? My ancestors were part of the settlement of Windsor in the mid 1600's and I still have cousins there, albeit distant. Some day if I am lucky, I'd like to get back for a visit of the old Connecticut stomping grounds. I also prefer outside to inside, but it is too cold to move this contraption outdoors. Thanks for sharing this image.

They should change the name to Juvenile Tree Almost-Swallow Sure an awful lot it's losing By the way, an awesome shot 4000 shots! I have never taken that many, but I understand why. I thought it was just me who got a lot of throw-aways... Now I'm not going to feel so bad.
