Combing thru my archives looking for something else......surprised what I find ! Shot in 2019....back when I could actually FIND an Eagle 8-) .....FWIW, this is the female .

Canon 80D, Canon 400 prime, 1.4X II, ISO200 in very bright daylight, probably from monopod.......

I have looked at many hundreds of Bald Eagles over the years but have never seen the wing coverts so clearly defined before. Cool shot.

Beautiful shot, Larry! My first reaction to your title was the 101st Airborne Division, but this is prettier (LOL).

Airborne or Helicopter borne? Jumped C119, C123, C124, C130 and UH1. To this day I miss the jumping absolutely don't miss the Airborne BS.

I was US not RA but I was the DIV SOM SEPT 1969, Airmobile, helo guy. HHT, 2/17 CAV, I CORPS , RVN 1969-70. chase
