Time well spent, indeed! An excellent re-rendering of an already fine photograph.
Nice! If you'll indulge me? My first job out of high school was working for a formula car racing team. At the race tracks, the Mini Coopers dominated the B and C Sedan classes. I was so impressed with them that I saved my pennies and bought one for myself. I loved that car! Every time I see one (not the BMW-owned kind), I have to pause and smile. Thanks!
Ooh, I like! And that 427 Nova is flat-out awesome! I always had a thing for the 427, and the Nova (and Nova II). Together, they are dynamite! Congrats!
I took my first trip to PerĂº last November, and I purposely took only my phone. I wanted to see if my captures would rival those of my bigger cameras. I must say that the results were impressive! Of course, I had some clunkers, but so too do I with my DSLR. Overall, the quality of the photos was surprisingly good, and the ease at which I could shoot panoramas, portraits and even movies was simplicity itself.
My DSLR isn't going into the want-ads any time soon, but I like my cellphone (iPhone 14 Pro) as a camera quite a lot!
Katie is an interesting study. In the first photograph, her expression is hard to describe. It isn't teasing, but there's a sense of something about to happen that only she knows about. The second photo, I gather, is the reason for the first. At least that's the way it appears to me. Nicely done!
I never shot with IR film, although I did a lot of B&W in my youth, and did all my own darkroom work. How does one develop and process IR?

Sadly, I agree. My response has been to subscribe to publications now in electronic form through my public library. I use both the Libby app and Hoopla Digital, and they sync between phone, tablet and laptop, so I have my reading material available no matter where I am.
If it shows up as an icon on your desktop, all you need to do is click on it to select it, then choose "Eject" or "Eject disk" from the Finder's menu. A shortcut is to simply click on it and press the Command and E keys simultaneously.
Very nice! Sharp as a tack!
Why would anyone suggest you change her hair color? I think it looks just fine the way it is. The rest of her, and the photo itself, are very good. Once again, nice work, Jim.
Meh. Like A-1 sauce on a steak, I think cheese on a burger is heresy!
I remember your original post, Jim. Well done! I wonder if adding some sky might add to (or detract from) the image?
Okay, I have a problem with this one, Jim. My first impression was that the colors appeared too "washed out." I suspect it's because the background and skin tones are on the same spectrum. There also appears to be a blown out area of light (the entrance to the cave?). Sorry, this one doesn't do it for me.
No issues (2022 MacBook Air, M2, 24GB), but really no benefits, either. Apple's efforts these days seem geared toward making it more difficult to install new apps (security) and so I'm always having to "allow" things to run on it. I also find the new "notch" useless and irritating (fortunately, there is a freeware app called TopNotch that returns the UI to the way it was, but -- you guessed it -- it has to be installed).
Upgrading seems to be necessity these days, as more and more apps are being written to be "macOS 14-only" so in order to remain productive, we have to go along with the bosses.
ETA: One of Apple's core directions is to "unify" the macOS and iOS operating systems. That is why I now can update iOS apps through the app store, although most of them do not (yet) run on the Mac. But that's the future, according to Apple.
"Diaphanous Blue." That was the first thought that came to my mind when I opened this post. A striking color rendition, Jim!
