Can only presume that if it don`t work as you expect it to, out of the Box, it`s rejected.

I feel the same way about PSE11, obviously designed by a Committee, certainly not user friendly. I honestly struggle to get PSE11 to do anything, with things hidden away in right click menus etc.

Where-as Win8 is only a variation of Win7, which was a variation of WinXP, etc.

have a Look & Try VLC Player supposed to Play anything, works for me.

Hi Jan, try a few of these to make your life with Win8 easier.

Windows Key = Alternate between Startup screen and last open programme.

Windows Key + C = Charm Bar

Windows Key + R = Opens Run Menu

Windows Key + E = "MY Computer" file explorer

Windows Key + M = Opens Desktop & Minimises all open Windows

Windows Key + D = Opens Desktop Mode

Windows Key + .(period Key/Full stop) = moves ? (well why not try it yourself, with application open)

There are loads more, do a search for Win8 keyboard shortcuts.

1. Windows Key + C: Displays Charms menu.

2. Windows Key + X: Brings up a menu of advanced system options, including Windows Control Panel, Command Prompt, Task Manager and File Explorer.

13. Windows Key +Number Key (1-9): Switch to desktop mode and make the Nth application on the task bar active where N is the number key you hit and 1 is the furthest taskbar icon to the left.

14. Windows Key + . (period key): Docks the current Windows 8-style application to the right or left, depending on how many times you hit it.

15. Windows Key + Z: Brings up app menu, which shows contextual options for the active app.
