Did you find the Blonde on the roof and the half car?

That is truly awesome - always feel a tinge of jealously when I see your wonderful cities in the U.S. but this does evoke some level of local pride - thanks for posting.

Neat!

I'm still puzzling over Rathyatra's comment on those so-called U.S. 'wonderful cities.'

Must have built one somewhere when I wasn't looking.

Come on now, we have some wonderful places here. We get accustomed to places and take them for granted. Get out of Mass and travel around a bit.

I have traveled throughout the U.S., and live here by choice. Boston is one of America's shining stars, with history, culture and museums, educational opportunities, world-class hospitals and medical care, and a wealth of attractions, not the least of which are the Boston Symphony and Pops, the Patriots, Bruins, and Red Sox. Glass towers gleam in the sunset, harbor vistas thrill the senses, civic pride abounds.

Is it a great place to visit? Yes, maybe.

If you like hours spent sitting in traffic, constant noise, aggressive panhandlers, vast crowds of angry people forced to live piled on top of each other, trash piled in the streets, poverty and an abundance of crime, sure, Boston has it all.

Need a place to park? Forget about it, unless you're really really lucky. Want to go for a stroll on the Common under the stars? It's great, but better come armed, especially after midnight.

Do I love Boston? You bet, maybe the best city in the country. Do I think it's wonderful? Nope. Despite all it has to offer, I hate going there.

To quote the late John Denver, "Thank God I'm a country boy."

br If you like hours spent sitting in traffic, co... (show quote)

I received this is an email from travelzoo.com today:

"$149 -- Boston: Upgrade at 4-Star Landmark Hotel
Revel in the deep-rooted history of Boston while staying at a 4-star downtown hotel for $149 per night -- up to 60% off spring rates"

Are you saying I should avoid this?
