Make sure you have downloaded the latest drivers

I uninstalled and reinstalled Picasa and still no sound. The link you attached mentions that Picasa can read MP3 and WMA and my videos were taken with a Panasonic ZS10 and the extension is MTS. Could that explain it?

have a Look & Try VLC Player supposed to Play anything, works for me.
