Amazing ! the aerial acrobatics are quite fantastic !
Thank you.
My 2 cents worth: I used the a77 for a couple of days extensively. It is an older model than the a57 but I had no problems in low, low light. I did not notice any great lag either. Another thing; I was really eyeballing the electronic view finder and I really liked it because for one thing, the field of view was much larger than my a580, which is optical. But what I was really intent on was how well my subject was represented through the ELV in those low light conditions. I was very impressed! I just figure that those doing the reviews must be biased to their cameras which I am sure are not Sony's. Lol.[/quote]
Thanks for your input Tankc, I've been shooting Panasonic bridge cameras for years, and this looks like a great upgrade.
Just gotta come up with the cash. :-D
Thank you, for getting me to read reviews on the A57. Seems like the ideal camera for me.
According to wikipedia there are 2 disadvantages to the SLT camera
"1. Less light reaching sensor, due to portion of the light being reflected to phase-detection autofocus array (approximately 1/3 EV or 21% in current designs)."
2. Refresh rate limited by the time it takes the sensor to form an image; in low light this causes severe stuttering of the viewfinder image when panning (e.g. if it takes 1/4 sec for the sensor to gather enough light to form an image then the EVF updates at 4FPS).[citation needed]
Do you find these issuses a problem with your A57 ?
Yes ! Obama must go and there are no other choices !
Since I didn't catch this post earlier, my jaw dropped when I saw your entry in the R,W&B contest.
Close inspection revealed yours was an original photo.
Here is my photo and set-up I used back in 2007.
Just proves that great minds think alike. :D
This is a collage I did a while back.
Great fun to put each one in it's own layer and rearrange with endless possibilities.
The following article is from the Data Center Knowledge website published in 2009.
Carbonite CEO Dave Friend e-mailed us with additional information about the companys recent lawsuit against a vendor, in which the company disclosed that it had lost data belonging to 7,500 customers. Friend didnt deny that the lawsuit states that Carbonite lost the backups of over 7,500 customers, but says number of customers who actually lost data rather than having a snapshot of their data disappear was much smaller. In the interest of thoroughness, here is Friends account of the incident:

Dynamic and dramatic !
Well done. .
Well at least you got me to clean my eye glasses. :D

Edit #1 has the best sky., love the pastel colors.
The scene speaks to me of tranquility, the kind of place I would love to be canoeing.
