Beautifully kept yard....send it to Better Homes and Gardens magazine. We no longer live in a house but when we did it was our pride to keep a yard like yours. Hours and hours of work but the rewards are listening to others give positive comments....even strangers as they walk by when were out working on our yard.

Nice video....it was a surprise when the second flower opened. Couldn't imagine watching a 10 minute time lapse video unless it was really "neat".

I do my processing with ELEMENTS and quite happy with the results. Look for Elements on sale. Think I picked up the current version at a Staples store in Canada last fall for about $75.00 Canadian.

Healing brush in Elements will work as well. I would enlarge the picture a bit and use a brush that is not too big. Certainly an easy task when you are careful.

Yup, when the head goes down like that, they are in the "look-out" mode. Mean as well and can follow the target off the water and onto land. We live across from a public park and duck pond. Never understand parents who will let their toddlers try and touch/pet these geese.
good pictures

Costco is my printer. Canvas is where I started after I started to want to display or gift away some of my pictures. Done many from 8X10 up to 24X30. However I am swaying away to the metal prints. Use the 11X14 size and they look "new, crisp and shiny". Easy to maintain. Have a "picture" wall in my place with 14 prints hung in a double row of 7. An eye catcher for sure. Costco in Canada prints the metal 11X14 for about $33.00 tax included.

I use the camera in my Samsung Cell phone, when the camera is not ready to capture a "surprise" subject and sometimes to scout out some fixed scenery. But the DSLR is still there along with a progressive choice of lens, lights etc. But photography is not just the camera, it's the person behind who can read from experience what components should be in a good picture. As you say "they're on the way", so lets see what the super techs can produce...

I have both of these lens, and yes it depends what type of photography you are doing. Today you certainly can get the advantages of both lens in one. Check out the prices and don't be caught up in the make of lens as you may be paying "big dollars" to get the same results. I have a 10-22, 24-70, 70-200, 150-500 and a few prime lens as well. Enjoy your photography.

Really great. Wonder how much some of the head gear weighs, especially with the bear head. Great shots.

I see they are both tethered down, sure helps with the crisp focus. What is the background plant?

I'm in mid Canada (Manitoba). We have a pack of wolves down in forest/lake country. Little experience with them other than they seem to say out of your way, providing you are not doing something stupid like trying to advance to feed them. Normally they will just take off but usually you don't see them. The lone wolf is a different story. they are on their own, perhaps push out for a pack or lost their position in the pack and have to fend for them selves...food, shelter and protection. Always looking for food, so small "pets" should be kept inside and most of all young children IF there is any sighting. Wild animals don't know the difference in domestic pets and little humans. As a hobby photographer, there can be some great shots, but use the appropriate long lens, walk away when it's uncomfortable. Up in Canada, small arms are prohibited and you must be licensed to carry a long gun. In addition most of these wild animals are protected from hunters.
