Attractive, dramatic, but unreal / surreal. IMO the light has mismatches.
Could you be more specific with the mismatches?
Growing up in Everett, Washington, and not far from the local cemetery, I was always aware of the Rucker tomb. The Rucker family was hugely responsible for much of the early building of Everett and local industries such as logging and mining in Monte Christo. Anyway, attached is the photo of the tomb. This was processed with PS Elements and both the Luminar plugin and Nik Silver Efex to add the slight toning besides the usual brightness/contrast and some minor dodging & burning to add more tonal range. Comments are welcome. Good, bad, or otherwise. Ken - Oh, I have to add that the sky was a boring high, solid white overcast. So, I replaced it.
Thank you, Cany for your thoughts and observations. I'll go back and review my processes.
Thanks to all for their comments!
Just outside of Pullman, Washington, lies the abandoned Weber house. During my visit to the area, I spent a week scouring the country side looking for and finding old structures from long ago. This photo required a lot of local adjustments with the Luminar Plugin by burning in the roof, dodging the house siding, brighten the clouds while building contrast with the sky. My attempt was to show the remoteness in the farming area. I'll let you decide if I succeeded. Your thoughts? Ken

The cloning out of the branches is pretty obvious in the download, even without enlarging it.
Indeed! However, stick with it. Practice makes perfect.

I don't remember your colored version. This is very nice. When you make your adjustments do you use a a Wacom tablet??
No, I don't use a Wacom. Just a simple mouse. I have a Wacom but haven't found the knack of using it.
Several of those who commented on the colored photo of this abandoned school requested to see it in black & white. This rendition required a bit of dodging & burning to separate some of the grey tones and the clouds look much more threatening. Anyway, I think it looks pleasing as a b&w - sort of. Hope you do too. Ken

any grave yards in the area?
Not around the school, but most other small towns have one. Mostly well maintained, though I prefer old crusty ones.
This is another view of a previously posted image. Again, a nice color photo of white church against a pretty blue sky, but much more dramatic in b&w, I think. Lots of adjustments were needed to bring out the various tones without blowing out the highlights. Ken
This old abandoned school house is located in what once was the community of Govan, Washington. If there ever was once a community there, it's long gone without of trace of homes or life. All you'll find there is a few grain silos, and a modular home about two blocks away. Oh how nice it would be if the walls could talk. Comments are welcome. Ken
While exploring the wheat farming area around Wilbur, Washington, I came across this quaint little church in the community of Sherman. The color version is nice, but I felt a strong inclination to convert to black & white. Comments are welcome. Good, bad, or otherwise. Ken
Very nice and creative to say the least! Thanks for the inspiration. Ken
I thought this might be an interesting perspective.
I've had an image of this sort in mind for quite some time.
I thought this would make an interesting photo for a car enthusiast.
