Growing up in Everett, Washington, and not far from the local cemetery, I was always aware of the Rucker tomb. The Rucker family was hugely responsible for much of the early building of Everett and local industries such as logging and mining in Monte Christo. Anyway, attached is the photo of the tomb. This was processed with PS Elements and both the Luminar plugin and Nik Silver Efex to add the slight toning besides the usual brightness/contrast and some minor dodging & burning to add more tonal range. Comments are welcome. Good, bad, or otherwise. Ken - Oh, I have to add that the sky was a boring high, solid white overcast. So, I replaced it.
Attractive, dramatic, but unreal / surreal. IMO the light has mismatches.

Could you be more specific with the mismatches?

Most obvious is double clicking the leaves at the top, but the cloud lighting and tomb lighting... I don't have this skill or interest. You have certainly produced a remarkable photo. Nothing says it has to look or be real except if submitted as evidence.
Nice processing; I like the black and white.

Nice work sir.....well done.
I like the final result. Your choice to replace the sky helped make it more interesting in my opinion. As for the mismatched lighting, I think that could be helped if not corrected by using the refine edge action in PS. I also must say I like the toning. Good job.

Nice image. I need to try some of these things, but never seem to have the time. It amazes me how some people can always find something wrong with other people images, but never produce anything close to what they are finding fault with.
First thing. I really liked this image and the story behind it. I generally like photobum's contributions. It is a fine line between nit picking and constructive criticism, but I do not necessarily believe that a person has to be able to be able themselves to perform a certain photograph technique in order comment on the results others obtain from using that technique. One does not have to be able to lay an egg in order to discuss how to improve the omelet.
Good point, Rodeo. I don't mind constructive criticism as long as I can benefit from it. It's nice that others can see what I miss or gloss over. Ken
