I think it’s great.
Personally would get rid of the bench and crop out a bit of the sky at the top to move the horizon up a bit
But, pretty nice photo regardless
There are focusing issues that *can* be a problem if your camera has a mirror. If it does, send your lens of choice and they will calibrate the camera to the lens for best result
There can be hot spot issues with certain lenses. Discussed on internet and many websites
You will have to do lots of processing to get the red out so being facile with software is a must
Agree
And they update frequently.
Use it with Adobe Bridge and most folks are good to go
“ For RAW infrared files to be converted to black and white, is it necessary to use the DNG Profile Editor
to create a white balance profile?”
I have many of the editors such as LR, PS, Nikon and Affinity, etc
For color IR photos I have been using a custom profile dealing with the intense reds in an IR photo. I think Lightroom has a built in one now and one can also be created to store and use in LR.
My Question was meant to say, is it necessary to apply this profile to an infrared photo that will be processed as black and white
So far the voting seems to be split 50/50.
Thanks
I should think yes but (not sure)
For RAW infrared files
To be converted to Black and White
Is it necessary/good idea/etc to go through the process of using the DNG profile Editor on the RAW image?
Thanks
Maybe they contract to design an fix up the outside of your house
You can get clear labels/sheets to print on
*Maybe* that would allow you to replace the labeling that was removed. It’s longevity would be suspect if touched or rubbed when used most likely.
Lynda.com often available free via you public library
I know I caused them. I bought their products.
But I would love for the incessant ( daily x multiple) ads to quit.
How does one get the Corel pop up ads in the right lower screen corner to cease and desist?

Sort of like Molly Blooms soliloquy… I like it..
Irfanview does this on a PC and allows sizing output options, renaming, etc
I find these gadgets last only a few years also.
I use DisplayFusion which lets you display pics on your pc screen as screen saver. Very configurable.
As I have two screens, it allows for 2 independent screen saver shows to run simultaneously.
Obviously your display has to be where the pc screens are located and thus not adjustable re: location and won’t work for many folks.
After recent flood in my house due to storm in Texas, I think it might be time to get many slides and some black and white negatives scanned. All are 35 mm with only a few rolls of medium format black and white film.
Please make suggestions re scanner and software.
Would like to make it as painless as possible but still with good quality.
Thanks
