Jones, when you shoot your slides, as you recommend, is the original EXIF data retained or is the data now from the shot? The reason for asking is that I have a zillion slides as well as a lot of film to copy and am leaning toward your recommendation.
Gracias

I have Epson V500 Photo. I scanned 5000 slides, some go back as far as 1956. It scans 4 at a time. I was very happy with the results.

f18 is too small. Larger aperture would have allowed less iso. Focus not on the eagle. Should have a 2+ compensation to avoid the dark side of the eagle. Tripod would have been a big bonus.

Have you thought of replacing the whole load with a Sony Rx10IV? Just take extra batteries.

Great photography, beautifully and thoughtfully narrated. An excellent portrait of history.
Thank you.

If you are going to use it for a long time, buy the best you can afford. Buy a Gitzo!

Nothing equals, or is better, than the Sony Rx10M4. You have a range of 24-600mm, and weighs only about 2.5lbs. The learning curve is steep, but whence you get things under control, you will not use other cameras for moving around, or travel.

I started with Luminar 2018, graduated to Luminar 3, and finally to Luminar 4. All are great programs.

The Sony Rx10M4, with its 24-600 mm lens, is a great camera. I bought one 2 years ago, and now use it almost all the time, and seldom use my heavy Nikon cameras and lenses.
