My favorite photography genre is street photography. However, since this pandemic, I’ve been limited. I saw this bird through my kitchen window and it just seemed to be posing. It wasn’t until I looked at the photo on the monitor that I figured out what the thing going up the side of its body was. I never knew birds used their legs to scratch. Apparently they do and it appears to feel really good.
Saw this while I was out shooting and couldn’t resist the visual.
The problem with “books” is that, at the rate Adobe is updating software, the most current version of a book is soon outdated.
I got a BenQ EW3270U Video Enjoyment 31.5" 16:9 4K/HDR LCD Monitor From B&H Photo. It cost $450. I absolutely love it.
I had to get out of the house the other day because the sight of my four walls for so long had my mood circling the drain. I drove to Yorktown Beach. People were having fun while maintaining social distancing and the flowers were gorgeous. The fresh air and seeing people attempting some form of normalcy certainly lightened my mood.
I have a Canon M50. My previous camera was a T5i. I loved that one. For me there was a learning curve because the setup is a little different. I love the lighter smaller feel to it. With the adapter I have been able to use all my lenses including my 70-300. So far, despite the learning curve, I’m happy with it. The downside is that if you use a tripod, the battery compartment and the SD card are covered by the tripod so you have to take the camera off the tripod to replace either of them. The other thing is if you have large hands, the buttons are smaller so that might be problematic.
I’m not sure if this is appropriate for anything goes weekend but these are two of my novice attempts at layers. The Empire State scene needs no explanation. The lake scene is a familiar scene in my area. I just wanted Selene to have some company.
Most responses seem to be talking about the computer. I have a 15 in Mac Book Pro but I wanted a bigger monitor for photo editing. Any suggestions on that?
I have the M50 and I am really happy with it. I started with a T5i and have 6 EF lenses. All work IMHO really well at least for my purposes. I was contemplating purchasing the 70-100, but the size of it, especially on the M50, has made me rethink that purchase.
Thank you everyone for such detailed responses. It is a lot to think about. I'd love to have the new 70-200 specifically for the mirrorless cameras, but it won't fit either of my cameras. And I'm not ready for a newer camera.
I have the Canon adapter. My original camera was the T5i. I purposely stayed with the Canon mirrorless so I could use my lenses.
I was considering purchasing a refurbed 70-200 from Canon for my M50. I am confused though and hope you can help. The newer version (III) costs less than the older version (II). The newer version boasts better coatings. Any ideas why it costs less?
My mother use to say there is many a true word said in jest. I’ll let you decide.
