1st hello to all

I have a t2i and am going to upgrade to the t7i..it came today..took some test pics with both cameras, same settings and in raw.when looking on computer I do not see any diff. AND the 7 is really loud. In all my research no one ever mentioned that..I also ordered an m50 mirrorless..so I'm hoping that will work for me..i guess why I'm here is the loud and for the price and age diff. I expected better.

Thanks in advance for listening.

This is the secret NO ONE on this site wants to admit: throwing more pixels into an image makes virtually no visual difference when the digital image is viewed on a computer screen in full-screen mode. The T7i is the most advanced Rebel-series camera Canon has ever released, featuring many of the advanced features reserved to the xxD line. But, the 'silent' option (really only quieter) doesn't appear to be one of the T7i feature-set.

Welcome to the community and good luck in your search. If you're happy with your T2i, maybe reconsider if you need any new equipment.

Not from me, no need for mirrorless.
Not interested.

I've no problem with using a card and sneakernet.
I have an angle finder to help with the lack of an articulated screen.
(It would be nice, but not necessary.)

I have a Canon M50. My previous camera was a T5i. I loved that one. For me there was a learning curve because the setup is a little different. I love the lighter smaller feel to it. With the adapter I have been able to use all my lenses including my 70-300. So far, despite the learning curve, I’m happy with it. The downside is that if you use a tripod, the battery compartment and the SD card are covered by the tripod so you have to take the camera off the tripod to replace either of them. The other thing is if you have large hands, the buttons are smaller so that might be problematic.

Your money might be better spent on higher quality lens for your existing body...

My 2MP camera takes pictures that fit perfectly on my screen with resolution of 1600x1200.

To your point, which image is 10MP Rebel XTi and which is 22MP 5DIII?

I have and use the M50. I ordered it as a light, quality camera to carry with me on a group tour (few occasions to pause long enough to finely think about and compose photos) to Israel. When it arrived, I was taken back with how small and light it was, but I came to love it. Mine came with two lenses. Both proved to be amazingly sharp. I currently have two images from that trip enlarged (12x18, and 20x24) framed and hanging on my wall.

At 24MP, the EOS M50 has the same pixel resolution of the majority of the Nikon, Sony, and Canon brand of interchangeable lens cameras. With a quality lens and good shooting technique, it will product identical (spectacular) results.

With over 65 years shooting every type of camera you can Imagine, I now shoot with the t2i and love it. If I were still working perhaps I would consider few more pixel rate but with the software programs available today and the proper use of them I don't think you need it. Enjoy your photography.
