Verizon just changed all my receiver boxes to the newer ones, plus installing a new Verizon router. My internet service is faster, however, on my TV I've been having a problem with viewing the program guide. It seems to lag at times between the time I push the advance button to when it actually advances, and it will advance to a few days out and on every channel that shows it will say: Please Wait. So, I wait, and I wait, and I wait. Sometimes it will only take 10-20 seconds before it loads with program choices, but most of the time it just stays on Please Wait. Have any of you had this problem with Verizon TV? I have all Smart TVs and it does this on all of them. The old receivers worked far better. No lag and the only time I ever saw Please Wait was when I came to the end of the two or so weeks that had programs scheduled. I figured I check with UHH first to see if someone else has had this problem and had a resolution, before I called Verizon as trying to get through to their technical help is sooooooooooooo frustrating.

I agree, I also have the same issues. Trying to get it corrected is nearly impossible as far as I’ve experienced. And yes, trying to get help via phone is early impossible.

which I thought was a good match at the time two yrs ago.
The same retailer where I purchased these now says I am wasting my money. Says 18-300 D format would be better for me as one lens.
My unhappiness with results is likely more related to autofocus issues which are currently above my expertise. I have studied the manual and still confused.
Bill ... Thanks for your comment.

Looks like your retailer is hoping to sell you a few new lenses. For what it’s worth I also have a D500 and only buy full format lenses. I agree with another poster that stated when using these lenses on a crop sensor camera you are essentially using the sharpest area of the lens. Besides that, if you decide later to move to full frame your lenses are designed for the new camera. Also when comparing the two series of lenses, you will notice that the FF lenses are heavier and at least in appearance they are better quality with less plastic.

I have a late 2012 IMac that works just fine. Large drive and all stuffed up with ram when they were in store upgrade able.It runs Mojave and is at the point where it is not able to take any further iOS updates. I use it for archiving my photos and paying my bills. Other that that I am not doing anything fancy or complicated with it. Once in a while it comes out of sleep mode with the message that it “ re started due to a malfunction, report or ignore” Otherwise it works just fine. I am 66 years old and am planning on retiring in 7 months. My question is: while I’m still working, Should I buy a new machine now to hopefully be my last machine and at least be upgradable for years to come? Or: Keep what I have being that I have no problems with it. My fear is it will just quit someday. I have an external terabyte drive and would hope to just clone it to a new machine. What is the opinion of you Mac users out there who have experience with long life machines. I thank you all in advance for time you take to respond.

Apple on occasion will have a refurbished 27” iMac for sale at really decent prices, that’s where I buy my iMacs. My last purchase was a 2019 27” Imac, 2tb fusion drive. I ought it in 2021. Excellent machine and came with 1 year warranty.

This is the front end of a 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser. I was driving and this scraping noise from underneath started so I pulled over and found the cause. My knowledge of cars doesn’t include this so I don’t know what happened! I thought I’d take advantage of the tremendous knowledge base available on the HOG. Whatever it is, it’s both wheels.

It’s the sway bar, but that car needs to be junked as to it’s evidently been submerged in water, specifically salt water by appearance. Not safe to drive.

Topaz is amazing. That said, follow the links by CHG_CANON to make sure you're getting the most out of the LR sharpening abilities.

I agree with you on the Topaz Ai products especially the new Topaz Photo AI which incorporates their most popular AI products under one app.

No one likes the 9.99 monthly fee but I recommend that you give it a 30 day trial. You will be amazed at the improvements that have been updated over the version you had. A cup of coffee probably cost that much a year.

Make sure you have the latest LR update installed. If so, the next update might have the Z9 included.

TOPAZ LABS Lineup of Software coming in September 2022.
Note: If you own the TOPAZ IMAGE QUALITY BUNDLE you can download the Early Access Version of TOPAZ PHOTO Ai now.

https://www.topazlabs.com/

I have tried this and it is great. Uploads quickly and works well. I use and access it from Photoshop 2022.
It combines SHARPEN AI, DENOISE AI AND GIGAPIXEL AI INCLUDED.

I have an affiliate code with a discount. PM me if interested.

I downloaded it and have been trying it out on numerous images. Result is " I really like it. essentially it combines Sharpen Ai, Denoise AI, Gigapixel AI and a new plug-in "Face Correction". I am a believer in Topaz Products, they are always working to keep their plug-ins updated.

I’ve never had this happen before so I’d appreciate any positive advice. I consummated the sale,of a camera with a fellow UHH member and mailed it Thursday of last week via USPS Priority mail. Was supposed to deliver Monday of this week although the PO doesn’t guarantee that. I keep getting messages it is running late but in transit. Its been somewhere between Memphis and Arkansas since Monday of this week. I went to the post office yesterday and was told it’s in transit and not last. Clerk said if it’s not delivered in a couple days come back and ask again. What? When is it considered lost? Yes, it’s insured and PayPal is holding the funds. This is frustrating at best.

Thanks in advance…

Gene

Last year I mailed a package that kept giving me the same message you are getting. After 2 weeks I had to refund the buyer because the package was considered lost. The tracking kept stating “In Transit” after I refunded the buyer and exactly on day 30 it was marked as delivered. The buyer then resent the purchase amount to me although it would have been difficult to force them to if they hadn’t done what was right.
This is what we have to live with in todays world.

I've heard a lot about Topaz denoise and wonder if I should take advantage of this sale. There is also a Sony code to reduce bundle by $125... I shoot Sony a7iii. Mostly travel and landscapes, some macro. I am just a hobby photographer but do print some for myself. Would like to make bigger than 8x10 prints.

I have not made the leap to Lightroom yet. Use Luminar 4, bought Neo too but have not had time to work with it (moved recently!). (I recently bought a variable ND filter to use on a trip to Iceland, but am thinking I may not really need it so kind of regret that purchase...so hesitate to make another photography purchase that I don't really need. Am on a budget and so $150 is a lot of money to me. I know this is an expensive hobby....just trying to determine how useful the bundle would be to me. I understand "need" is very subjective! Upgrades coming soon will be free to anyone who purchases the bundle, as I understand it...)

Thanks for any insights.

My advice is to download them as a 30 day trial and use them on questionable images and then decide if it’s worth it to you. I personally have Denoise, Sharpen, and Gigapixel and use Denoise and Sharpen frequently. I have been using Topaz products for years and find them very useful.

My Topaz Sharpen no longer opens in Lightroom Classic. Instead of showing me the Sharpen screen, it does the sharpening in the back ground and produces a tif file with unknown sharpening parameters. I have no control over the process. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Topaz program, quit and restarted LR, and rebooted the iMac. Any suggestions?

I also have issues similar. I cannot select edit in Topaz Sharpen directly from LR Classic, I have to select edit in PS and when in PS I can then edit in Topaz Sharpen I also have tried re-installing Topaz Sharpen to no avail.

My only suggestion is to try shutting down and restarting your computer, this cures a lot of issues for complaints like yours.
I lied about this being my only suggestion, I would also consider subscribing to Adobe LR/PS photography plan at $10.00 per month and have at your disposal the most updated version of LR/PS. That is not much more than a cup of coffee at one of the popular coffee houses that have lines of cars waiting in line at the drive through.
