I believe Oldsmobile had a B-44 model. It was restricted to highest priority users. Probably a re-badged '41. The main difference, if my hazy memory is correct, was that the front fenders extended into the front doors and the color was gray.

When I use Sharpen on an image and then press "Save" the processed image just disappears. The image remains untouched in my iPhoto file.

Without announcement, Apple Photos has been materially upgraded. Read thru the Photos description to see how the strength of various sliders are magnified and extended by use of the Option key etc.

One afternoon back in 1936 when I was 5, I was bouncing a tennis ball off the steps of a walk-up apartment near my house. A scout car pulled up and the officer came over and told me to stop because a tenant was annoyed at the noise and had called the police. I took my ball and started to head for home and the scout car drove away. When I became aware of this I headed back and started to bounce my ball again. Disaster! The policeman merely circled the block and caught me in the act. This time his voice was sterner and he took out a pad and wrote my name in it and admonished me that if I was ever caught again I was going to Juvenile Court.
It is 1953 and in the process of getting a Security Clearance, I am connected to a lie detector. After the first round of questions the operators tear off the long paper tape and start matching the squiggles to the questions. Suddenly it is apparent that they have found something and they confront me. "You denied having a police record..." We talk and I confess my dastardly deed of 1936. I'm wired up again and then they get to the case in point, "aside from the tennis ball incident..." I got my clearance.

Mapplethorp: His prints were works of art in themselves. Absolutely beautiful. An exhibition of his work was shut down by the yapping of congress here in Washington DC. I saw it in Florence (Italy) where it was displayed in a school that was evidently closed for summer vacation. People including those of student age wandered thru and left apparently unscathed.

If you want a real driving thrill go to Burma where they switched from right hand drive to left a few years ago by government decree. However the government failed to take one fact into consideration: The Japanese dump their right hand drive used cars and trucks into that market and many of their roads are 2 lane and filled with carts, trucks, busses, farm animals and conveyances (small tractors which can be ridden themselves or pull a wagon or implement), and people walking or acting as beasts of burden themselves. Many of the tour busses use assistant drivers to the left of the actual driver.

In the 70's we tried metric and it stuck to this day only for liquor and wine. The Government should have mandated it for milk and gasoline and after the initial outcry, we would have metric to this day.

Unrelated thought: after America is Great Again will colored toilet paper return to the marketplace?

Is there any way of bringing more than 1 picture into Affinity from Apple Photos?

The whole Apple Photos file is locked and closed off from Affinity per Affinity's usual instructions (FILE-OPEN etc) when opening Affinity directly.

When one accesses Affinity through Apple Photos Edit, one can only work on the single picture that Apple allows one to work on at a time. You cannot access a 2nd picture to get a cloud image, for instance.

Thanx in advance
