Really?
I do a lot of babysitting of the under-2-yr-old crowd: When two of the children start fighting over the same toy, I take it away and they each have to go find another toy.
I never want to get involved with this Mine-is-better-than-yours so I ignored both N & C and chose another toy!

Hi all I have an older Manfrotto ART 055 aluminum tripod does anyone know what the weight capacity is ?? ive searched the manfrotto site but cant seem to find this exact model . This tripod seems quite sturdy - would I gain anything by going to a Carbon Fibre tripod other than the lighter weight ?? Id really like to hear opinions on this tripod Perhaps someone has a link for info as well ?? all i can find online is info on the newer 055 models.

I have a Manfrotto ART 055 with #395 Ball head which I purchased 23 years ago. I have had a Discovery lens attached to my Pentax K1000 film rig which weighed approximately 12.5 lbs . The only problem I had was very windy conditions but the weight of my camera bag was enough to counter the wind. I now use it with my Canon setup and have no problems BUT I am still saving for the new carbon fiber 055 pro as I have mobility problems and the lighter tripod would be advantageous.I hope this helps in some small way.

Nice, sharp perfect against blue sky.
I would like to share with you the site I use to identify gulls here in GB. Hope you will find it helpful.

(Or something like that... See the difference?)
Regards.

Thank you for sharing the site, I didn't know there were so many different kinds. I guess if you take a picture of something you should know what it is!!!! Thanks for your interest and help!!!!

Nice clear shot of a seagull, we call them seagulls too so I guess we are in error also. A rose by any other name is still a rose, me thinks. Thanks Sandy for sharing.

Has any one used or uses a double harness for two cameras. Any thoughts on which one to buy? Preferably not connecting via the tripod mount, but by the cameras own side attachements.

I own the x-large optech and I find it very comfortable and good price works well...

To me, bokeh is just another buzz word that's fashionable to talk about. No matter how you say it...it means D.O.F.!

Yes to the first part.
NO to the second.
At least get it right!
Wow, a little sniffy arn't we? ok... technically, depth of field was sort of a bad term to use. Bokeh is elements of a photograph that is forced out of focus or it depends on whose definition you prefer to use.

I am a newbie and here I thought it was just bad out of focus shots. I just delete those, lol

Your definition has no mention of the aesthetic quality of that out of focus area, which is the key.

Like you, I prefer not to use the word at all. But if you are going to use it, don't put mis-information out there to keep the newbies confused.

You brought up a good point, I certainly don't want to lead newbies down the wrong path. Hey all you newbies... I forgot to mention the aesthetic quality of out of focus areas in bokeh!
