It's their mantra: Bush did this, Bush did that.

They can never make a point about the current administration without bringing George W's name. But its for sure if you disagree with them or say anything negative about obama then you an extremist right wing, racist, gun loving, religious zealot nut. (I'm sure I left out a few others) They "preach" tolerance and acceptance of everything but just don't disagree with them if you do then sit down and shut up.

Mr. Schooner did not post the letter here. That was stated in my original post where I just forwarded something I received.

Not sure if you say that in jest or not and i understand what you're saying about the billions in foreign aide we send every year and agree with you. Especially the countries who hate, despise, and want to kill us. But on the other hand we have too many of our own people who want to be tanked care of, I talking about the able bodied who can and should contribute to our country. Instead of making their living off of the backs of those of us who work. We do have people who need a helping hand and we should do so.

Mr. Schooner, first thank you for your families service to our country And second for your letter it is very well written.

Whether this real or not it says a lot, I'm sure there are a lot of people that feel the same way. And I'm sure a lot that don't.

I checked the White Pages and there is a Bill Schooner, shown as age 77 that lives in Oak Harbor, Wa.

Not let's see how much disrespect you receive for offering your opinion from the folk that tells us to we need to be tolerant and accepting. That is until its someone having a different opinion than theirs.

YOU DID NOT ANSWER HIS QUESTION.

He won't, he only knows how to name call and do his best to insult.

Thank you for attacking me before you replied to my question. All I wanted to know was what occurrences you used to come to your conclusions. Too many statements touted as truth, which are actually opinion, are tossed out on the internet in an attempt to smear someone, such as you did. I also noticed your very first choice was actually from Tina Fey's comedy routine, so I'm inclined to believe you get your news from the Comedy Channel.

As far as writing questions on her hand, I don't think we can let that pass without pointing out Obama's dependency on teleprompters. Concerning the Supreme Court, how about Obama carelessly attacking the Supreme Court during the 2010 State of the Union? And, quite frankly, I don't read magazines or newspapers either, particulary the news magazines or opinion sections as they have been taken over by progressive liberals.

Oh, and my cave is named Alabama. Do me a favor and stay in California where you can pay taxes to your heart's content, and you can pay homage to your great god Buffoonery and his little dog Ignorance.

The difference here is "Perception" you look at a firearm and see a ugly gun .... an instrument of death, and I look at the same firearm and I may see a a work of art and engineering or a means of putting food on my table to feed my family, a tool that allows me to have a equal or hopefully better ability to protect my family from criminals, rapist, thieves, aggressive wild or sick animals, For me and in my hands the firearm provides me with safety, and security.

Not sure about other states but here in our state they do the same background check at a gun show as they do at a gun shop.

ole sarg wrote:
What was proposed was a control people law. It was and is called background checks.

Now to buy a gun from a gun store, the owner has to do a gun background check. Why not in other venues?

Inquiring minds want to know.

It make you wonder how many anti gun Bostonians that were told to stay inside their homes because the terrorist was run loose around their community were wished they had a weapon to protect their family. Looking at the photo of the boat it doesn't seem to far from the back door of the home. He could have just as easy tried to enter the home.

What? Are you saying even the Demo's did that? Say it ain't so.....

The suggest and failed law was but 47 pages long. Have any of you read it? Did you know it strengthened the law against maintaining registration records? Did you know that it made the laws applicable to gun shop owners extend to those selling guns without a license to do so?

You probably did not know these things. But, then again you are the same bunch who is going to take on the US Army when President Obama declares himself a dictator.

You are the same delusional bunch who expect sane people to listen to you!

The senators did not listen to you, they listened to the campaign contributions from the NRA.

Guess that's why they call it politics.

My understanding is that Reid's "no" vote was just a procedural gimmick. Evidently he will change his vote to a yes at some point and that will somehow allow him to bring this up for another vote. Not quite sure how all that works, but maybe it's a way of pressuring some senators to change their no votes to overcome the filibuster. We'll just ahev to ait and see.

Callous......there is nothing callous about asking that question since you are always wanting people to back up their statements with fact. I understand what you are saying about sons/daughters, ect.... Asking for facts to back up a statement is not unreasonable. If a gun is used in a death of any kind and it is found that someone was negligent, then they should be held accountable.
