It was quite shocking to see that that the members of the Senate support allowing criminals and seriously mentally ill persons to purchase guns without background checks.
Somewhere along the way our Government got broken and our Representatives now think they work for Smith and Wesson.
To those folks, allow me to say, We will never give up! We will not go away. We will get change.
Twenty Thousand Gun-Control Laws? Not being enforced now , and you think 1 more law will fix everything, IF you really want to help why dont you do things that will help and really make a difference.
1. Impeach Judges that dont enforce the gun laws we have now.
2. impeach Judges that give light sentences to criminals that use guns in their crimes.
3. Stop letting the bad guys out of jail " early " for good behavior.
4. Stop blaming and punishing law-abiding people for the crimes of a few.
and many more, but this list will keep you busy for a while If you are serious about " Fixing " the broken Government.
Its very easy to look at these anti- gun blogs and get all emotional what I will challenge anyone to do is take out the word "Gun" and put in "car" and read it thru now apply it to real life does it fix the problem?, or does it just "feel good" to have done something. Some of the gun laws if applied to cars will help you make sense of it.
1. I was going 45 in a 25 zone and killed a person,
1. solution: we will fix "your" car to make it harder for you to go 45 mph.
2. If someone in your family lost their license to drive we will confiscate your car with no resolution, because they "Have " access to your car.
Remember "If it saves one life it will be worth it all"

Motor Vehicle Traffic-Related Pedestrian Deaths United States, 20012010
Motor vehicle traffic crashes are the leading cause of unintentional injury-related death in the United States, resulting in 33,687 deaths in 2010. Pedestrian travel makes up 10.5% of all trips (i.e., any travel from one address to another) taken in the United States, and pedestrians represent 13% of all motor vehicle traffic-related deaths. To determine traffic-related pedestrian death rates by sex, age group, race/ethnicity, and urbanization level, CDC analyzed 20012010 data from the National Vital Statistics System. This report describes the results of that analysis.
