I think Obama should go to jail for what he did. Our immigration system is one of the weakest in the world yet somehow we are the country in most dire need of reform? Then some self righteous arrogant un-American fool gets into office and thinks he can change our laws and our Constitution by executive order. After Boston, we should be looking to reform our immigration policies by making them more like policies found in other countries; by making them more stringent. I sure would like to get on a plane without spending hours being x-rayed, tested for residue, strip searched, having my bags dumped and gone through before being x-rayed, checked for residue, etc. Secure borders and strict background checks on immigrants would be a good start to getting there. Obama wants to ban guns but allow criminals from all over the world free access to our country. Liberal logic at its best.

"Crane criticized Obama and Congress for choosing a path of legalization for illegals rather than allowing immigration agents to crackdown on enforcement."
I'd like to know who has a plan on exactly how we deport 11 million illegals. We have to get real here - it's not going to happen. Rather than spending billions trying (and most likely continuing to fail with) deportation, wouldn't it make more sense to legalize them and collect taxes which could be used to prevent any further hemoraging at the borders??

Yes - it sucks that we've had so much leakage at the border, but this has been going on since Reagan was in office as large corporations sought cheap labor - and both Republicans and Democrats turned a blind eye to illegals working in the states, making it even more attractive for illegals to want to come to America.

This is the fault of BOTH parties. Not just the current administration.

The USA and have the same problems concerning immigrants. I remember during the last war all Japanese civilians were interned in Hawaia.

The solution is simple, cut all the welfare to illegals. No food stamps, no free medical care, no social security, no free schools for their children, no welfare checks in the mail.
Note, I stipulated this was for ILLEGAL RESIDENTS, not the poor or those who followed the rules and came to this country legally.
You would not have to deport anyone, there would be a stampede for the border, you may even make some money charging them for the transportation back to where ever they came from.
It is about time we took care of our own.

Ambrose - This is not so much about the illegals already here but about stopping the FLOW that is happening because the current administration is preventing legal law enforcement from doing the job they were hired to do. Read and listen to what is there to see and hear without prejudice . Dave

Obama keeps talking about reform and fixing our Immigration system. The system does not need reform, just strong enforcement.

Does an invader of the country need weapons or is just the invaders presence still make them invaders? If an invader comes and pulls down the welfare of the citizens, changes your government, changes your welfare system, takes your jobs, lowers your way of living, can't or won't speak the language, takes advantage of every loophole in the system, etc. and does it with out weapons, the invader is still here and flourishing. Yes, Eisenhower deported 3 million wetbacks as he called them back in the fifties, why can't the government close the border and send these people back. It will cost either way but foreign aid money could be used to do the job. An amendment to the constitution is needed just to change four words: Instead of born here in America, it should be changed to "Born of a Citizen". England changed that years ago. Now for all the people that disagree, lets look at the immigration of years ago, People applied, were accepted, came here, learned English , had a physical, had background checks and learned about this country. To day they cross borders and do none of this. Thus the melting pot is no longer level but tilted to serve certain groups, who will eventually run the government to their liking, not yours.
