I'm fascinated by languages and accents. For the people of England, I have a question about the letter "H." Many English people pronounce that letter "haych," but only some of them. What I think is a funny combination is when the person - like one on TV - says "haych," but then he would say "eavy" instead of "heavy." Can you enlighten me on this practice?

As I said, languages and accents fascinate me. I often watch foreign language movies just to hear the language.

My maternal grandparents were born and raised in England - grandmother in Liverpool and grandfather in London. Their accents were different and my grandfather spoke with a bit of a Cockney accent because he grew up in the East End of London in the early part of the 20th century.

Welcome - I too am a Fuji X system user for "fine" photography, but use a Lumix point and shoot for travel.

My aunt gave me her Kodak Brownie Reflex when I was about 8 years old. A couple years later, my parents bought me the official Boy Scouts camera after I joined the Cub Scouts. Then, my Dad gave me my first 35mm camera, the Kodak Retinette 1A as part of my Bar Mitzvah gift when I turned 13.

I also collect antique cameras and have a few dating back to around WWI.

Cool! I collect old cameras. I have an Exakta XV from the early 1950's. I bought it because that model has the top controls reversed from most cameras. The shutter release and film advance buttons are on the left. As you probably am aware, the Exa is the small brother (or sister) or the Exakta.

I am 70 and have never bought travel insurance in the past. But, I am supposed to take two trips abroad this year and plan to buy either refundable air tickets or travel insurance.

Same age as me. Great pics.- love antique cars. My parents bought a 1951 dodge. I remember it. So, they must have still had it when I was a toddler.

Cool! I was born in 1951 and when I was a toddler, my Dad still had a '51 Dodge, light grey sedan.

You may have been lucky to be at the right place, but it takes a talented photographer to capture those shots. Superb!
