My friend's '51 Dodge, HOWEVER, when he starts it up you realize it doesn't sound like an old Dodge. It has an LS3 engine, a 4 speed manual transmission and a 4:11 rear-end out of a 2004 Corvette. MAN does that car rumble!
I hate seeing old cars rust away. He should give that away to someone who would restore it. He could at least donate the running gear. There's quite a bit of money sitting there, believe it or not.

I am not a fan of this "patina" interest. Like most you I think it looks terrible. Strikes me as the owner is either too lazy to refinish the car or has misplaced priorities. You may not be aware that owners of some cars like this spray a coat or two of clear to "preserve" the look. UGH.
Cool wheels..! I don't see a license plate or an inspection sticker so it must not be an on-the-road car. It would not pass inspection here with the cracked windshield. Of course, he wouldn't get far down the road without plates on it either.
