I read it for free as a part of my Apple+ subscription. Yes, technically it is not free because I am paying for the Apple+ subscription but as a part of that subscription everyone in my family has access to hundreds of magazines and newspapers.

I agree. The daytime picture is just a non descript photo of snow in the neighborhood. Used it to text to my kids scattered across the country just to let them know we got some snow from Izzy.

Yesterday we had a combination of snow, sleet & freezing rain. The first picture is out our front window of the wonder we woke up to Sunday morning. The second picture was taken through the same window Sunday night after a brief snow shower coated the leaves and trees.
Both taken with an iPhone 12 Max Pro. No post processing. Sorry for getting the pictures in reverse order. Operator error!

I grew up in suburban Philadelphia and loved that parade. Don’t understand why it is not televised nationally. It is very unique.

Longwood Gardens is located south of Philly, close to the Delaware border. I'm sure it is beautiful all year but it really gets dressed up for Christmas.

I have been there during all of the seasons of the year and it is beautiful every day of the year. Christmas is a special time.

While traveling through southern Louisiana, I decided to visit Avery Island. Avery Island is home to the world famous Tabasco sauce, but it is also home to alligators, herons, oak trees draped in Spanish moss and to my surprise a Buddhist Temple complete with a thousand year old Buddha. My visit was short but well worth it. I hope you enjoy the pictures and thanks for viewing.

I was just there a couple of weeks ago for only a few hours. Wish I could have stayed all day. A wonderful place and a photographers dream as your photos illustrate. I will go back given the chance.

Taken from the drivers seat on a rainy morning In Philadelphia. I liked the way the background blurred letting that lonely leaf stand out before I turned on the wipers.

Love this picture!

You can enroll through the Longwood website, www.Longwoodgardens.org or by contacting Matthew Ross at (610)388-5247. If all that fails, PM me and we’ll work it out.

I am in the area this weekend with little time in my schedule and will be in Austin, TX on the 27th. I will keep an eye on the Longwood calendar for future events.

Later this month, I’m leading a photo class for Longwood, and I hope the lily Ponds are still available. So far, so good; temperatures have been mild. BTW, you nailed it! Great shots.

When is your class and how does one sign up?
Through you or Longwood?

I don't like them

Then I would use tape. A small strip of Duct tape would work.

Sad that you don't like a cell phone.

Big shout out to everyone from Charlotte, NC. I'm a long time advanced amateur photo hound and former photography instructor who has recently made the jump from his Nikon D200 to a Z50. Great forum here.

Welcome to forum from another Charlottean. I am a Canon 80D and iPhone 12 Max Pro guy.

The wife and I will be taking a trip next year to Alaska and I'm thinking of just using my I Phone 7 for the pictures. Has any one used a telephoto lens that attachaches to a I Phone? Are they any good? what would be a recommended brand?
One big reason for using the I Phone 7 is the GPS feature, makes it easier after the trip to tell where we are and what were looking at.

I have a Sony DSC-HX90V camera that has a very slow and poor GPS but it does have a 30X zoom lens which is nice. It also comes with EVF ( view finder) that I like using.

Thanks for any input you may have.

I would certainly take the Sony with you. When it comes to iPhones your 7 is now 4 generations behind in technology and in a couple of months will be 5 generations behind when the 13 is released. If your trip is in 2022 I would consider upgrading your iPhone to a 12 Pro or even a 12 Pro Max. When the 13 is released this fall the 12s will go on sale.

Tom, did you take the pictures of the longhorn cattle near Charlotte? My wife paints pictures of farm animals. I take the pictures and then she paints them. Would love to find a nearby source of pictures of these different cows.
