Last year I subscribed to something called Photo plus, the Canon Magazine. I had purchased an issue at Barnes and Noble and liked it. The magazine comes from England. It cost $118 for a year's subscription, pretty steep, but it is a good publication. I received the first issue, but nothing since. I have written to them and they said they would send the back issues, but so far i have not received them. My thinking is that the issue is with the mail, either here or in the UK. I am going to pursue it further, but I am not too confident.

Sadly, It sounds like Photo Plus Frustration.

I don't think I ever had quite that problem for something I paid for. A few times it seemed I was offered (and took advantage of) a free teaser publication that is associated with a product or brand I had purchased or shown interest in. I at one time decades ago got a Pentax magazine, also yes a few Canon ones, Zeiss, Honda, Mazda, and cooking/food ones. I do on occasion subscribe to a rather pricey US photography publication, Lens Work Monograph Series. This one is a usually 3 issues per year publication. They also have a similar monthly covering many photographers. And their various publications come in regular and deluxe (more pages, longer portfolios and essays) editions, plus electronic CD-ROM and e-versions. It gets mighty confusing to order I would say. I get the standard editions and have picked up a number of back issues from them and used from others online. My point for your situation is luckily my subscription comes from a publication that is owned and edited by an actual photographer who seems totally honest. When we moved I totally forgot about them and forgot to send them a change of address. Even though I found that the forwarding order with the USPS had expired, they still found my new address. Not sure how. But I did get my then current issue and that prompted me to contact them about the change. In fact I should see if I want to or need to subscribe again now. Good luck with either getting your UK Canon Magazines or getting a refund.

I used to subscribe to the digital edition of PhotoPlus, but it’s been a few months since I let the subscription lapse. Have you gone through magazinesdirect.com? If you still have your receipt and account number, you hopefully can get this resolved.

A subscription magazine likely has a web site in which you can peruse back issues as long as you have a subscription.
I prefer paper too, and its the principle of the thing, but there is that.

I've emailed them and they responded, promising to send the back issues. At this point I will probably just cancel and request a refund. Its too bad because it is a quality publication and i enjoyed it.

Sorry for your problems I subscribed to it in digital for a while. My subscription ended in late 2018 because it was getting too expensive even then
I now subscribe to EOSMagazine also from the UK, it is a quarterly and I get print and digital. It is £24.95/$33.78. They also have an extensve on line presence and a bunch of e-books etc.

I bought a set of books for around $450.00 that never arrived. I contacted my bank and they handled it as a fraud and eventually refunded the amount.

Contact them again. I have been a subscriber for 5 or 6 years and receive my copies on time each month here is New Jersey. The only delivery problems I have ever had with them occurred in 2020 during the height of the pandemic when they were having difficulties with their international mail services. I did not receive 3 or 4 issues in a row as a result, but they were eventually sent later on in the year. In my experience they are reputable and reliable.

I've had the paper subscription to Photo Plus for past few years; really enjoy it. This covid mess really caused delays in getting the mail from overseas. Had to make several calls to England to get resolved but it didn't help the mail situation, so I just switched to digital. Much better; everything comes in on time now.

I really, really like EOS Magazine, and they are so wonderful to deal with. I once called over a missing magazine. The very polite lady, with a great English accent, said "I'll pop it in the post immediately."

I read it for free as a part of my Apple+ subscription. Yes, technically it is not free because I am paying for the Apple+ subscription but as a part of that subscription everyone in my family has access to hundreds of magazines and newspapers.
