Climate change has really made a difference. With the eagles regular food sources not freezing over as much less eagles are going to Conowingo. The thing that brings them this time of year is the shad run. I’m not sure if they’re still running or not, (I’m guessing climate change could also affect the timing of the shad run. If it’s just eagles I want to see I see them all the time right around me on the Potomac and Occoquan rivers. There will always be some eagles there but, thing I hope for at Conowingo is shots of eagles catching fish, or at least fighting over them. If I could only know ahead of time that the light would be good and the wind would be blowing upstream and the floodgates on the near side would be open I’d make the 2+ hour trip more often.

I agree. Conowingo is most dependent on the floodgates, which is dependent on energy draws. Then the wind direction and other weather conditions. I have been there with no open floodgates and no action except fly bys. The backgrounds there drive me crazy but the talon fights are a real draw. Eagles are getting pretty common all over.
For catching/stealing fish I can be at the Rappahannock in 15 minutes and the shad are still running.

I had to get a new mower last spring. I use a 42 also because I have some long areas near ditches and rock walls needing that smaller width. Prices were higher than hell and inventory short.
What I found was the new Craftsman is a Cub Cadet. They get made by the same plant/manufacturer.
I was looking at both brands. No Cubs of the model I wanted in stock anywhere. But for $300 less you can get a Cub Cadet painted red with a Craftsman label on it. Go figure.
Best riding mower I have ever owned. Gives a great cut, powerful smooth transmission. Highly recommended.
Picked it up at Lowes.

I have a windshield mounted dash cam in all 3 of our cars. I have used the videos only twice. Once was to offer it to a trooper that was called to the scene of an accident I was behind and witnessed. The other was just a few weeks ago when someone rear ended me on I-95 and tried to tell the trooper I was on the shoulder and pulled out in front of them. The dash cam clearly showed the truck in front of me head to the shoulder, I stopped in my lane, and then after a delay someone hit the back of my vehicle.
Not going to play those games.
BTW if in an accident make sure the other party is charged. Otherwise both insurance companies will pay for their own respective insureds and both policies are dinged. At least that was my experience 25 years ago. A lady lost control of her car in 1 inch of snow and was spinning from lane to lane on I-95. She spun over in front of me and I T-boned her. She was in an ambulance and the trooper just wanted to get everything cleared and did not charge her for failing to control her vehicle. My insurance counted it as a claim and my rates increased. I learned from that to insist on the other party being charged.

It is a real b***h when that low bar you set comes back to bite you in the ass isn't it.
Looked like interfering with a legislative body.

Nice ! I often track these guys while waiting for the Osprey and Eagles to get busy. Makes all the big birds so much easier to capture. Like turning the pitching machine up to 105 mph for batting practice.

My friend, who is extremely talented, keeps waiting for the Unicorn Z8. Is very unhappy with his Z6ii and just will not spend the money to get a Z9. He is in his 70s and will wait 2, 3, 5 years for the Z8.
I can't explain it. Says he does not want the Z9 because he doesn't want the grip. (???)
We think it is due to budget but what the heck is it worth to wait years.
