I remember mine being hand written....

Me too, I married in 1966 at 19 years of age and got involved with the whole banking, groceries, rent business which I handled for about 3 weeks and turned everything over to my wife who is still doing it!

I get receipts too but too often now they let the paper empty and I hate to have to go into the store especially during the covid time then I had to wear a mask.

There was a complaint about this as they were purposely letting the paper run out as a way of getting customers into the store to buy stuff.

That's a good question. It would, I think, have been either the Buick or the Pontiac. I don't think it would have been the Cadillac. I think Buick.

The original Lasalle was a Cadillac offspring. My Dad had a 1938 Lasalle. There was a guy at our local dragstrip that had a 1938 Lasalle coupe that raced in the same class as flathead Fords. They didn't stand a chance.

I keep the boxes as long as the warranty is still in effect. Once the warranty is up, it depends on the size or uniqueness, on whether I will keep it or not. My wife doesn't agree with my philosophy about this.

The remake of " The Day the Earth Stood Still " was alright, but it could have been so much more.

Simply amazing. My dad had a 1956 DeSoto, not quite as nice.

Flywheelers in Fort Meade, Florida is an amazing tractor and old engines show. I was able to attend one when we had our house in Fort Myers. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures I took.

Great pictures but I am wondering at the lack of sails. Looks like most are under engine power.

I believe it is BR-549 and I wonder how many here know what that means.

A female reporter once asked Gordie Howe about why he wore a cup but didn't wear a helmet. He told her you can always can pay someone to do your thinking for you.

It's like an alarm clock. It's up to you to set the time. Don't feed the dog until a time of your choice. He'll soon adjust.

The first car I ever held title to was a '55 Chevy. It was a 4 door Bel Air sedan and honestly it was a bit of a slug on performance, with a 2-barrel carb and auto transmission. May mother gave it me in 1957 when my dad gave her a new car...which he did every 2 years. That '57 was a horse of a different color....2 door Bel Air hardtop with the " Power Pack " option and stick shift. When she got her '59 car, she gave me the '57. Then I was off to college and the era of free cars was over for me.

Is that '55 referred to as a " Nomad " like the the '56 and '57 versions are? I've never seen a '55 version at any car show I've been to.
The first car I ever held title to was a '55 Chevy... (show quote)

The Nomads were 2 door models with nicer trim.

Something not often seen, mismatched wheels. Usually only Nomads displayed, so something different.
