Yes I tried manual focus but there’s such a fine line to get the bird manual focus.

Recently I bought the Canon 7d Mark II and the Tamron 150-600 G2. I know this is not
a new subject but I’ve had lens focusing issues. Works great when it does. But today I
was shooting a beautiful bald eagle...he was a long ways off but the 600 brought it in
but not super close. But on full 600 I could not get the lens to auto focus. Tried all I knew
to try but but still didn’t get a sharp photo. Any advice on how to make this work?

Man what a beautiful shot. I’m still trying to get a good eagle shot. Going to Klamath Falls in January
to try. 600+ eagles fly into there every year. I just got a Tamron 150-600 G2. I was hand holding it
yesterday and had a hard time getting it to auto focus at different distances. Do you have any issues
with your 800 hand holding and auto focus? I’ve had this issue quite a few times.

My 7d crashed (my fault) and don’t want to spend $815. On repair. I’m looking at the Canon 7D Mark II.

Beautiful shots....we have a lot of Blue Heron here around Portland Oregon. I just
got the Tamron 150-600 G2 and I’ve had some difficulty focusing with it. Your photos
are very sharp and good color. Don’t suppose you have any focusing tips.

I would probably agree with you.....I didn’t really want to blame the lens. Thanks for your input.
But I’ve read so many good reviews on it. I have a 300 also
but just couldn’t reach the wildlife in trees and in the field.
