The first shows as it is...but it`s the 2nd. that grabbed my attention.

Why No to using Flash ??

In Cebu ( Philipines ) I took photo`s in a cave that had been used as a Church...benches and all..ceiling was about 10 to 17 mtr. high , travelling light , all I had was a D3S ...pc nikkor 28 f3.5 and 20 f2.8 and an SB 80...flash fired at the ceiling with the reflector card pulled out..pics. are acceptable,as everything was lit well.

Well Done !...care to explain technique , why the ND-filter instead of higher shutterspeed/ smaller aperture / lower ISO ?

I see mostly young people who shoot film , those camera s cost a good deal less and when taking a photo just now and then , why not...

I have a Bessa L with a Heliar 15mm f4.5 on it , I have been 5 1/2 month in the Far East and shot 1 1/2 roll ( about 52 exposures ) with it , it has a very Large view and therefore only suitable for few subjects , the first roll has been developed and I do have , Negs.,prints and CD.

Brand new the Bessa L including the Heliar 15 f4.5 is half the price of the Nikkor 14 mm and is a " Better " lens, it is also a very small package, and Always comes along.

The D3S with Nikkor 20 f2,8 ....PC Nikkor 28 f3.5....55 f1.2 ...tc201 , fired over 1700 pics.

So film still has it s use...and is selling more and more..and it seems to be trendy to shoot film.

What happened to " the camera does n`t lie "....

We `re discussing me to be in a small group on a " Drive 3-4 mnths. thru` USA project " in a Winnebago, so I`m looking at options and the Nikon (non)repair saga does not sound good , I`m not concerned about my D3S / X camera`s , but I recently aquired a PC-E 24f3.5 , which has electric aperture , it is virtually brand new...has n`t been put thru` its paces yet , hence my concerns .

So if I come over on a longer stay , and a nikkor breaks down , then would I have to wait until I am back in Europe because Nikon USA will not fix my lens ?
