I was in Walgreen's yesterday, and I noticed all the prints waiting to be picked up. There were at least two hundred envelops of prints in the containers. With business like that, I think Walgreen's will continue to develop film. Good to know.

Walgren's does a huge digital printing business at our location but not certain how much film they process?

I checked my local Walgreens and none of them could do 10 rolls a day which is the minimum to keep their lowest volume C41 processor in good control.

I thought it was me. My film photos from Walgreens and CVS were blochy,grainy. Mike's Camera in Boulder was the answer. Even if the local drug store does film, the chemicals get" stale" and poor results. Just not enough volume. A pro shop is also not a school kid with a part time job.

I had a number of free 8x10 prints done at Walgreens and they were pretty good. I uploaded then online. Digital film only.

The policy of all the Walgreen's stores in my area is to not to return negatives from film they develop; prints only. This is a big no-no for most film photographers, and certainly for me too. I want my negatives!

That means they don't have a C41 processor in the store. They send the film out for processing and then they send back the scan files to the store via the internet for printing. Saving them the return shipping. But no I wouldn't want to have my film processed in such a place and I only need the negatives I don't care about the prints or scan as they don't do it right any way.

That's what I found too, negatives are not returned, Also the film is sent out for processing and my local Walgreens quotes a week turn around though on one occasion it was three days. I'd rather send my film out myself to one of the labs recommended here on the Hog. You do get a disc so you can print additional copies yourself though I forget if there was an additional charge for that.

I think Jerry is playing with us again. I use Walgreens for all of my everyday printing cheap. They are fine for 8x10 or smaller and even 24x36 posters for quick turn around. My local store only does digital.
If I print something for a client or something special then I send it out to a proffesional lab like Adorama or Mpix

That is good news Jerry but the bad news is that Walgreens does not calibrate their printers.

I went to Walgreens with print negatives. They don't do them anymore - new machines only digital, They said all the stores in the Las Vegas area are that way now.
