Road trip last week to Pittsburgh and traveled across West Virginia and the New River Gorge. Stopped to see the New River Bridge, beautiful sight. Its the largest single arch bridge in the western hemisphere and third tallest bridge in the US. They close it once time a year for Base Jumping and Rappelling, scheduled for October this year. Completed in 1977, spans 3030' above the New RIver and its 876' above the gorge...One heck of a bridge.
