When the World Cup was trimmed down to 16 Teams, I predicted Brazil or Germany would win it all. Brazil, Germany, and Mexico were eliminated. England took a 1-0 score lead, but allowed Croatia to score twice. Losing 2-0. Croatia won three straight games. An amazing accomplishment. Now, it will be France/Croatia for the World Cup Championship on Sunday. I predict the French will win the Championship. Russia, as host of the World Cup did a good job. As fans from all over the world attended the games. The World Cup in 2026 will be hosted in three countries. The USA, Canada, and Mexico. A first of this type. Perhaps the USA will qualify to participate then.

The tension is remarkable.

One thing I noticed was the respect given by every team during the playing of their national anthem. I’m sure these countries have internal turmoil but they left it in the locker room. Puts our NFL to shame.

I used to watch the noon news but the station that broadcast it has been running the World Cup at that time for the last six months or so. At least it seems to have been going on that long. I have been wondering when the World Cup is supposed to be finished.

I watched a few minutes of one game a couple days ago. They had been playing for about 45 minutes. The players were hot, sweaty and tired but the score was still 0-0 after all that time and effort. I heard one jock say players and fans get so excited when a point is scored because it happens so seldom.

I just heard on the morning news that the last game is supposed to be this Sunday. 'bout time but I'll believe it when I see it.

In the past Germany got Better and better into the tournament , They are Defending World champions...I saw the match and I still do not understand what happened.

England Fell apart in the second half...10 prima donna `s running around , Not listening to their coach.

The Germans defeated Brazil on their home court, leading to the championship in World Cup 2014. All hopes were on Brazil that Year. And the country was devastated. What a setback for Germany, to have lost to Mexico, 2018, and got lucky to continue, because other teams failed to win. It didn't matter. Germany lost again. Bye.

Different circumstances. World cup games played in other countries, NFL playing in own country where they have the right to object to people being slaughtered because of their race & nobody giving a s**t.

In last year's (2017) NFL game in London, England, between the Saints and the Dolphins, 3 players knelt during the America's National Anthem. When the British Anthem was played, all NFL players stood for it. Out of respect for the host country.

My prediction was correct. France defeated Croatia 4-2, and Russian Leader, Vladimir Putin presented the Awards alongside the French Leader, Macron. In the wet rain. Rainy parties can be exciting too. Congratulations to France, World Cup Champions of 2018.
