Ask dealer to show you specific language in the owner's manual calling for that service at your car's current mileage -- if he can't, tell him that you follow only factory recommendations. I bet you already know the answer.

I have the wide zoom (10-20) and a longer zoom (100-300), but I agree that the 18-140 is the "almost always" lens for my D7200.

Try turning off the Taskbar auto-hide (right click on it, go into Taskbar settings) -- that solved a different problem (don't remember what it was) that I had with PSE 15. Maybe that will do it.

I guess that the deflectors have an impact on airflow, such that the smoke is sent upwards more forcefully and disperse better. Others may know more, but that's my general understanding of their function.
