Bought a 2017 RAV-4 hybrid in March 2017.
Dealer has been great with free servicing during past 2 years.
Went in for free state inspection yesterday at 29,000+ miles and they are suggesting the need for about $800 worth of work.
What's needed: climate control tune up ($180), brake system fluid exchange ($150), fuel injection service ($190) and front differential fluid replacement ($270); rear differential service is free.
My 2 previous vehicles, a 1994 Plymouth Voyager minivan & a 2005 Honda CRV went a combined 350,000 miles without requiring any of these services.
Looks like the dealer is trying to recoup his previous free services.
What is your opinion??

Find yourself a local reputable repair guy.My 2 cents.Toyota Filter costs $18 and a Fram brand is $6.00. Toyota does not make pollen filters. They are rebranded.
Climate control tune up for $190 is a fancy word for replace pollen filter.

Go on-line and check what services are required at your vehicles specific mileage, and then check what "the internet" says about the specific dealership suggestions. FYI, my E60 M5 has a cabin filter replacement everytime I bring it in for service.

In what section did you see this post? As I'm looking at it it is in the General Chit-Chat section where we discuss non-photography items. Admin may have moved it from some other section like Main Photography, Photo Gallery, Nude Photography or where ever. Happens all the time - and somebody always mentions it. As long as you have been on UHH I would think you would be aware of that.

Climate control service? REALLY??? Would that be changing the cabin filter?
My mechanic (NOT A DEALER) never has recommended any of those things.
Did the mention anything about a bridge or blinker fluid?

I won't go to a dealer unless that is my last option.
I have a great group of mechanics!

The Toyota, etc dealer in my town is well-know for being a ripoff artist. Sad but true.

A very good acquaintance of mine is/was the national president of the Independent Automotive Repair Association or something to that nature. I'll ask him about the reputable shops in that area. I know his shop is tops as far as service and pricing. I've been taking my vehicle there for around 6 years and have no complaints about the service, price, or treatment of customers. I'll send you a PM when I find out, but that probably won't be until Monda, as they are closed over the weekend.
