I am 83 years old and have lived in earthquake country most of my life smalltremors once every few years no damage have lived survived what I consider big ones over 7.5 3 times our loses were mainly dishes ceramics the last one we estimated about 400 dllrs worth of damage , that is not a whole lot for a lifetime
The way I look at it is I want it I look at my checkbook it the the numbers say OK I buy it I don't ask anybody opinion it's my hobby and my money
I spent 30 days crosin the the pacific on one just like that one coming back from korea with another 300 men and 30 5ton trucks and 18 155 howitzers talk about a tight fit those Lsts rocked and rolled with every wave this was back in 1955 we were the last unit of first marine division to get rotate out of Korea
I use both no preference 2 window laptops a dsk top and a mack depends with a wife, daugter boh like windows who gets to them first I use the mack or the laptop you have to adapt or get swept under the rug.
I have both the 610 and the 750 the 750 focuses a little faster than the 610 and the 750 has the tilt screen otherwise I find no diference

I own both fx and dx nikon cameras you will find that with the fx system the expence goes way up, however if you start with dx system buy fx lenses then if you decide to go fx you don't have to buy lenses twice
I am a hobbist photografter since 1946 have owed nikon, canon, pentax,minolta,almost forgot Kodak from point and shot to slrs double lens reflex I think someone owes me a rebate I have never needed to use cs form any of the manufacturers since the only failures that I suffered were 12 inches behind the camera
