Stepping back in time slightly, all the way back to last Friday.
Several days I posted some shots, one of which was what I considered 'the better' of a number of views I'd shot looking into Long Canyon. Wouldn't ordinarily do this, but hey, why not? Attached are four additional 'views' of essentially the same place, short distances from one to the next. I'm posting them for the purpose of showing how clouds and light and sky and rock can change appreciably in the space --quite literally-- of twenty minutes. Nothing anybody hasn't seen elsewhere, or realized for themselves, of course, but thought some might like to see what happens in canyon country on a windy, cloudy, occasionally rainy evening.

Terrific. The canyon is amazing, made more so by the light.
Very cool set and they show perfectly how light can change so rapidly on a scene.
A terrific message in your beautiful series, Cany. I love trying to capture shots of sun burning through the fog, or shooting towards to the sun when ground fog is dissipating or mist is rising from water. How many of us have non-photographer acquaintances who get a puzzled look on their face when we exclaim, "Oh look at that light!"
Impressive work, as always. Thanks for sharing.
👌
Beautiful work, as usual, Cany.

Love the lighting and tree, rock, clouds details.
Absolutely beautiful set and what a wonderful way to spend an evening.
Qfantastic every time I see your postings makes my day a little better to see a master at work maybe one day I will take just one picture just as good as you do every time you post
Yesterday morning I saw a beautiful golden red sunrise over low lying fog as I rode along the Ohio turnpike on my H-D. I had my camera (packed in the travel trunk of my bike), appreciated the beauty of the scene, and but did not see anyplace where I could safely pull over and dig out my gear. A missed opportunity that I regret missing. Such is life.
Thanks for sharing the photos as well as the idea of light changes in a short period of time. Interesting.
Thanks, all, for taking a look. Didn't even take 20 minutes of anybody's time, either.
Linda: Fog? Mist? What're those? Oh, right! I've seen pictures of them things!
Bassman: Way to spend an evening? Absolutely. But I pick my evenings pretty selectively.
no name: You're WAY too generous.
Photog: Yup. Been there, didn't get that too. Whole lotta times.
And not to let other commenter's comments go unacknowledged: thanks so much!
