I have the little RF f1.8 Nifty Fifty and enjoy its fast aperture and tiny size. Pictures are plenty sharp. Good value in my opinion.

I use continuous focus most of time so no beep. On my R6, the electronic shutter is totally silent and I hate it. I would prefer a soft imitation sound so I know when the camera is shooting. If total silence is needed, then fine but most times the relatively quite sound of the mechanical shutter on a mirrorless camera is not a problem. Does anybody else not like the total silence?

I have the iMac M1 - 24", wanted to wait for the larger one with more advanced chip but couldn't due to computer failure. I'm very happy with the M1, works great with LRC and Topaz. Love the M1, quiet, fast, no going back to Intel unless they make a big leap forward.

I was in the exact same spot with the 7d and the guys here really helped especially @CHG_Canon in helping me make the leap from DSLR to Mirrorless. I opted for the R5 and though a big decision it was definitely the right one for me. Its a great camera but there’s a learning curve for sure. Well worth the effort. Amazing camera!

I have the R6 and am very happy with what 20MP and the same autofocus as the R5 which costs twice as much can do. Would I like an R5, darn right I would, but you can get an R6 and the amazing RF100-550L lens for a bit more than an R5 alone and less than an R3. You can't go wrong with either one, the R series is the way to go in my humble opinion.

I have an M1 iMac, works great with LR. Topaz Denoise works well and is quite snappy. Topaz Sharpen seems to chug and is the only thing I've run that gets it to warm up and run the fan. Seems to really work hard on that. I'm quite happy with the speed in LR.

I like that one! I certainly enjoy a short-cut to success. My pleasure at getting keeper Birds in Flight with my R6 far outweighs any guilt I may feel about not being good enough to do it with my old camera!

I love my R6. I like using normal SD cards in both slots. Love the magic eye detect focus. 20MPix seems to be plenty with the excellent sensor. I bought the R6 rather than the R5 due to price. I sometimes lust after the 45 MPix, but getting the R6 allowed me to afford the 100-500 RF Lens which is awesome. Also enjoy the RF800 f11. I don't use video much but the R6 video looks great and only a real video nut would miss 8k. You can't really go wrong with the R6 or R5, seems to me.

I have an M1 IMac and it works great with LR CC, I imagine PS would work great also. Very snappy.

Just jealous that you have good camera stores! I tend to buy from B&H without ever actually touching anything before I buy it. The R6 and lenses turned out good anyway.

If you want an orange or purple computer, you need to go with Apple! Otherwise you have plenty of choices. I am getting a blue M1 Mac, I think blue is not too crazy. Good luck with building your gaming PC!

I have the R6 and agree with all the good things said by the others about the R5. R6 has "only" 20 MP but so far that seems like enough to me. Of course I would rather have the R5, and probably will some day. The eye tracking autofocus is amazing. Image stabilization so good you can easily handhold the 800mm f11 lens. Takes good pictures at high ISO's, what's not to like? Maybe would be nice if it had smaller, cheaper, lenses, but the RF lens quality is superb. I left Canon DSLR world for Micro 4/3 mirrorless, enjoyed for a couple of years but the R6/R5 and RF lenses have brought me back to the Canon fold.

Your panos look great. I only recently started dabbling with panos myself and have only done handheld ones which seems to work fine as yours did. It's interesting to me that I see a lot of people think you need a tripod with a panning head to get the exact right horizontal/vertical movement and exact right location of the lens, as if a few inches is going to mess up a landscape shot stitched together in LR. I'm interested to know what you pano people think about that, my first time in the pano section. Love Taughannock Falls, went to Cornell, been there many times.

As stated by Suntouched, the R6 and R5 will focus wonderfully well with the RF800 f11, I have the 800 and R6 and love it for small birds at a long distance. The old DSLR days of "won't focus over f8" are gone. I have not yet gotten the extender. It takes very clear, crisp pictures. It has limitations, but it also has 800mm in a light easily hand holdable package which is unbelievable. I also have the RF100-500 which is a much more refined L lens and maybe takes better pictures, I'm not sure yet, the 800 is that good. I want to get the extender for use with the 100-500 and have heard that it works with the 800, but I don't think I would use it much with that one, again who knows?

The 2 button method of back button focus that I have seen touted for the Canon R5 and R6 really works great once you get used to it. Program one button for eye detect tracking and the other for a more normal mode like spot focus. You can then use either on the fly just by moving your thumb from one to the other button. I'm a covert with my new R6.
