Thanks billcoh...Yes I went through the system restore procedure a couple of time to try and fix the issue with no success. I am in the process now of replacing my hard drive to a larger one and doing a clean start from a new Win7 install. Hoping that will fix the issue.

I'm probably too late to offer a suggestion but here goes anyways- Have you tried using the System restore usually available in any operating system---You may go back to whenever you found you had the problem ..You wont erase any of your data that you may have installed but it will erase any registry changes.
