Just wondering how many UHH members use this site hosting service and what their impressions of it are, pro and con.
I'm thinking of getting it, as my Pro Flickr account leaves an awful lot to be desired and it's now time to renew.
I have a site with them
http://www.WendysDoodles.com and I like it very much. There is a learning curve, as there always will be, especially if you are used to something else. I have had a real estate web site for years and being that they are different companies, it took me a while to understand how to work with the new site on Zenfolio.
I have a promo code that might work in getting you a discount and I believe I get a discount too, if you use it. Here is the code D62-2K6-RVV Everyone is welcome to use the code. Let me know if in fact there is a discount when you use it.

I think your Canon vs Nikon battle comes down to Zenfolio vs SmugMug. Or you can build your own pinhole camera. ;-)
Those interior shots are outstanding - very good lighting.
Been using Zenfolio for approx 5 years now and never had a problem. Adding photos, changing layouts very easily done. Would highly recommend you getting it, plus the price is right. Check out my site at
www.ricciardiimages.com.
I have used them for four years and like them very much.
bcoan.com
Used them for almost 2 years. Many options and easy to use.I went with a very basic template when I started and really haven't explored all that is available. For me it is a site to upload-too many-pictures when someone asks about photos. Also, look into what 500 px offers for $100. per year -same rate as Zenfolio .

I have also been using Zenfolio for about two years. It is very flexible if you change your mind about organization. It also works well to share your photos with family. You can allow or not allow downloading. You send the link to your family without including the folder on your public menu. If you or your family want prints, you can get them from mpix.com. Navigation between some screens could use some improvement, but other than that, I am pleased with the site.
I also looked at Smugmugg and 500PX before I chose Zenfolio. At the time Zenflolio seemed the easiest to use. I suggest you look at those three-Zenfolio, Smugmugg, and 500PX.
I have been with Zenfolio for 4 years. I was going to switch this time at renewal as SmugMug did a wonderful job updating their site. Fortunately for me a short time before renewal Zenfolio did the same. I like the changes they made so much that I decided to stay with them.
One thing I can really say that is positive is there Customer Service, I called them a couple of times and they fixed me right up.

Thanks so much to all who graciously gave of their time by replying to this thread, and especially to Wendy2 who really went overboard and helped me so much.
I made the decision to go with Zenfolio because of your positive comments and the fact that they offer some great features and services at a very resonable fee.
Now the real work begins in getting everything organized and up on the site. Initially it will have a minimum number of categories and images and will grow over time, a true work in progress, as I have a fairly extensive archive to draw on and images that I now find would be worth sharing.
So thanks again and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
