Does anyone recommend a shop that does high quality printing of portraits and other people shots?
I am concerned about color accuracy and ink-fading problems. I want prints that can be hung on a wall and expected to look good for a good number of years.
I've looked at places like MPIX and Bay Photo.
The prices look reasonable, but I wonder about the actual quality.
(But I don't want to go to a shop that charges $100 per print)
Where do professional photographers go?
Thank you.

We went to Oil Creek State Park, PA (the first USA oil wells, in the 1850's) just to wander and maybe take photos. There weren't any water birds or eagles to be found, so I wandered around the grounds of the museum area. The exibits were closed, but I tried to look into windows of old building to see what might be inside.
They were very dark, but I could see outlines of machinery in one, and maybe a tractor in the other. On a whim, I put my camera to the windows, used 8000-10000 ISO, manual focus, and clicked away.
These are the best of several attempts.

I have 4 speedlights, as well as several studio strobes. Godox trigger and receivers are wonderful.

I like your quotes.
Is there a document that compares Godox products?
What is the difference between the 800 and 600 series flash units?
Why do I want the separate transmitter instead of just using one flash as an on-shoe master to trigger a slave unit with a given lighting ratio?

Thank you everybody! Godox looks great. Now, can anyone point to a website that talks about setup for these flash units? I'm not talking about "how to light". Generally, I have a good feel for lighting effects. I want to know about camera/flash parameters for setting up , say, a master and 2 slaves with a given ratio, speed, and curtain so the camera can decide flash power required. The jargon about channels and groups, etc is confusing. Is the Godox manual written in "Chinglish" like Neewer?
Example: for Godox, what is the difference between the 800 and 600 series units? Why do I want the separate transmitter instead of just using one flash as a master to trigger a slave unit with a given lighting ratio?

Enjoy! You made an excellent decision, IMO. I haven't found much that my 5DIV can do that my EOS R can't do as well or better.

And thank you for your previous post, which helped me make this leap to FF.

Other than the too-expensive Canon gear, can anyone recommend speedlite packages that allow wireless triggering of 2 or more speedlites? I want capabilities such as setting ratio of lights, high-speed sync, zoom, etc. My new Canon EOS R does not have the built-in flash. Previously, with my Canon 70DI was using the built-in flash to trigger a Neewer NW-985C E-TTL. I was very happy with that capability, and I want to do the same with the EOS R.
Thank you.

So I now own the EOS R, with control ring adaptor. (wowee!!) I highly recommend Beach Camera for their willingness to deal on kit prices. Ray is the man to talk to.

There are 100's of obscure techniques in Photoshop and Lightroom. It's why I have had a love/hate tangle with Adobe for 20+ years. It is very powerful and useful software, but seems to be cobbled together by teams who don't communicate well.
If you really want an adventure into mind-warping, undocumented hell, try the 3D tools in Photoshop.

To everybody: thank you very much for your responses. Not only have you provided experienced opinion, several of you have increased my understanding of photography in general. This is really a great discussion. I have carefully used the links provided, and wow, what an adventure.
I have never before considered mirrorless, but now I think it may be in my future.
So now I have to wrestle the budget.
In a couple of months, I will share some full-frame pictures to brag about my new found capabilities.
Thank you again. This is why UHH is such a valuable resource.

I really want to upgrade to full frame DSLR but budget is an issue. Right now, I use the Canon 70D. My interest is landscape, portraits, some wildlife, and some social photography.
I am looking at the Canon 6d MKIOI which is now on sale at about $1200. At DPREVIEW.com, the review is not as good as I would like to see. But I wonder if they might just be biased against Canon in general. I have been all Canon for 30+ years.
Questions:
1. Has anyone in UHH used this camera and willing to share their opinion - good, bad, ugly?
2. 42nd St Photo has good prices. Are they a good place to buy?

Thank you in advance for the help.
