Hi,
What is the buffer car between the power and the tank cars?

Nice picture. It looks cold!
Steve

I believe they have groups of tank cars (maybe 50 cars) with a buffer car on each end and when two groups of cars are put together there would be 2 buffer cars together in the middle of the train and then there would be a buffer car in front of the pusher.

Oh, well you didn't say that. Check out the Clinchfield Loop at the orchard overlook on the BR Pkway.....

Well you are partially right in this trip down the mountain. You get off the Blue Ridge Parkway at McKinney Gap. Go down Peppers Creek Rd and it crosses the track one time at what is referred to as Camp Two. Camp Two was named for the second camp established in building the railroad over and through the mountains. There are I believe 16 tunnels in the 17 mile stretch of railroad. There is NOT a bike or hiking trail following the tracks. There is a bike/hike trail out of Old Fort that is built on old Hwy 70 and you can see the Southern Railway loops from part of it. Also the is the Virginia Creeper Trail in SW Virginia that uses the old N&W line from White Top Mountain to Abbington

It happened with B&H without them realizing it.

Once they caught it they replaced them with oem.

Other legitimate dealer may have also been duped.

Wow, if they can initially slip by B&H, who you would think gets them from a reputable supplier, how are we suppose tell.

Does it matter what color the batteries, I have bought a replacement EN-EL 15 for a D750 that is black and recently purchased a EN-EL 15A that are gray.

United's lowest fares are limited to "no carry on". Usually you can pay a fee to add the carry on, or you can pay a fee for luggage (having equipment in a larger case).

Call them and inquire.

Spraguead is right, the economy of economy seats usually allow a personal item that fits under the seat but nothing to go overhead. This is their way of forcing you to by a more expensive ticket. You will also find that the seat in front of you is closer. I didn't realize this tactic until the last flight I took to Las Vegas from North Carolina

Thanks Stan, The Outer Banks did not sustain as much damage other than high tides. Most of the damage was from New Bern south since the storm came ashore near Wilmington and then turned south.

Our local newspaper had a heading for a class at the YMCA. It said "Learn to eat better at the Y"
I know they were laughing when they printed that or not.

Sure, from right to left, the brake stand with the MSS L 3-18 on it is the 24RL automatic or trainline brake, then the bell, then independent or engine brake handle, the T handle below the dash is a control for the brakes to set it up as a passenger service or freight service. On the the left is the control stand that has the reverser handle in the lower position, the throttle above it and the radio mounted on top. Top left on dash is the speedometer, then going back right, the half circle is the ammeter, then you air brake gauges, for main reservoir, equalizing reservoir, trainline brake gauge and independent brake gauge. In the photo of the side window, the straight up handle in front of the vent window is for the sanders. The electrical controls are above the window.

Here are some photos of the controls on Southern FP7 6133. They were not shot in black and white but because of the cab color being gray it looks like they were.
