So B&H offers an in-store credit card that when you use it, they will pay the sales tax. Sounds like a great idea until you start reading the fine print.
B&H will pay the tax,but just be sure you pay off the balance on the first payment, the APR is 29.99% with a minimum credit charge of $2.00.
It's still a good deal considering you would be paying 9% or more for tax, but if you plan on financing anything, you might want to use a card with a better interest rate.
Just saying
I used it on a night shot of the Milky way, the effects were amazing. Removed about 90% of the noise while leaving the rest of the image pretty sharp. You can download a 30 day trial for free to see for yourself
The F4 lens by far!. It is considered a "pro" lens by Nikon, albeit a cheaper one because of the minimum aperture is only F4. I have this lens and have compared it to the Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens and it is nearly as sharp. It's a great "walk around" lens and you can usually pick them up used on B&H for around $700. I bought mine used off of Craigslist.
I use the Nikon 14 -24mm usually at 14mm all the time. The reason is the math. In order to get pin sharp stars with no movement you divide the mm of the lens by 500 to get the maximum number of seconds before you start getting star trails. 14mm divided by 500 is 35 seconds which in most cases I don't go over 30 seconds. This combined with a 2500 or 3200 ISO gives me really great shots without a lot of noise. Plus the skyline is big, a 14mm does a great job of capturing it all.

That would depend largely on your "world" view.
If you believe that the universe was created out of nothing by nothing and everything within in it has no apparent purpose, that all life came about by random mutations (evolution), then yes, there is a very distinct possibility that there is life somewhere else in the universe. But because of the vast distanced between us and them, we may never discover them.
But if your world view is one that says the universe did have a beginning, that it was not created by no one but by a someone (God), then who's to say that God didn't create this entire universe for us to observe and if He wished to create it with our planet being the only one with life on it, who are we to argue?
I agree. With over half the world having cell phones we should have tons of pictures of Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, and leprechauns by now....
I have ordered from them several times, never had any problems. My most recent order was in December, I ordered a Sony AV receiver. Amazon wanted $1600, got it from New Egg for $1200. I've gotten some killer deals on 12" subwoofers also, always with no problems
No problems at all. I have gotten some killer deals on powered sub-woofers and most recently bought a AV receiver for $1150, Amazon wanted $1600 for the same receiver. It pays to shop around!
Yeah, I wrote Best Buy off a couple years ago when I bought a internet switch (Netgear) that failed 17 days later. Netgear makes good equipment, I think I just got a dud. I brought it back with receipt in hand and they would not let me exchange it out because their warranty was for only 15 days. Something I had to find out the hard way at a cost of $50.00. There were no signs telling me this when I purchased the equipment nor was it told to me when I purchased it. Needless to say, I won't be buying anything else from them fearing the next piece of electronics might only have a three day warranty....
I went to Fry's Electronics for my next one, much better!
Bought a new pair of Nike tennis shoes but I had to take them back. When the sales clerk asked me why I said "The shoes are fine but for some reason they make my feet hurt when I stand for the national anthem"
